The lady at the front is so rude. Every time I go in, she serves everyone behind me before she even asks me my name for pick up. This is consistent behavior, rude. Another gentleman came and sat the person behind me, also not assisting in my pickup. They like to be rude to non white customers .

I live in the area. The food is good, and I’ll speak to the proportions - they give you a good amount of food for the prices! Always a plus. I feel like this restaurant gets overshadowed in the area but it deserves more attention.

They have a few special kids meals. The panda themed utensils are really cute, my kid loved them.

The half duck was perfectly crispy and the sides were so fresh. Everything was still piping hot upon delivery. The packaging was fantastic .They thoughtfully package the sauces separately so nothing gets soggy.
$2 Crazy Hour is absolutely insane! They have a great selection of sushi and various appetizers. The sushi is the same high quality as their dinner service ,the fish pieces are huge and incredibly fresh. The alcohol are 50% off, and the selection is massive, they're not stingy like other places that only offer one or two brands. It's a super friendly restaurant, and you absolutely cannot find a better deal in town!

The food here is good. Never had a bad experience with a take out order. Have tried to go here for happy hour or dinner several times and unfortunately the service isn’t great. Takes 20-30 mins to get my food each time. Even when it’s not busy. Waiters don’t check on drinks, etc. (maybe they’re short staffed).
I recommend not going too hungry or just getting it to go.

Spices Asian Restaurant was fantastic. Our group of four all ate something different and all liked what we ate. Definitely worth a visit.
2025: Visited Spices Asian Restaurant and Sushi Bar last evening. It took a long time to get my alcoholic beverage. Ordered a very tasty crab dumpling that had a great sauce. My friend and I were less impressed by the fried calamari. The Chicken Satay was fine. The Mango Sticky Rice was fine, but not perfect. The wait staff was pleasant.

Perhaps one of the only places I'll eat out in; food is delicious, clean, trusted, and each dish, down to the rice - although in tiny bowls and not enough for the meal - has the taste of love. The staff is very nice and accommodating of every reasonable request. Food is delivered with 7 to 10 minutes after ordering. Atmosphere is calm, peaceful and relaxing with nice level of background music, over customer chitchat, neither of which is overbearing and makes for a great environment. As the last place ever I'll eat put in, I pray it doesn't become as other restaurants do over time. After more than 20 years, it's maintained it's appeal pretty consistently, along with a faithful customer base of locals.

After visiting the zoo, a few of us came here for dinner. We tried their sashimi and sushi — honestly, it's the freshest sashimi we've had in DC, right up there with what we had in Japan. It totally brought back memories of our trip to Tokyo. The service was super friendly too; they seated us at a large table even without a reservation. Prices were more affordable than the other place we went to a couple days ago. I don't get why there are bad reviews; it's a shame for this place. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot for dinner with friendS. There is a broad menu with plenty to choose from. We had fried rice and a couple of sushi rolls. I thought the rice was great and the sushi was okay. We finished everything that was provided. Service became a little slow at the end. The food was good and the pricing was very fair.
