Got the chicken kebab sandwich, jollof, and palm wine. Kebab was really flavorful, juicy, with some chipotle sauce that was delicious. The jollof was good too, spicy and not too dry. Was not a fan of the palm wine but the more you know! Would definitely come back, I want to try the snapper

Great African food. Location is in a good spot and distance from a lot of things. It was a little confusing when we first got to the door, and went through the kitchen to get to the upstairs dining area. I would suggest signs or something so it’s less confusing other then that, food was really good no complaints

I am a customer over three years and I LOVE the food but lately ya'll are slipping. Delivery 3 out of 5 times items are missing, bread is not grilled and chicken is dry. We used to get food from Eastern Market fresh from the grill and it always was delicious.

Just a bit clear, food is really good especially the jollof rice! The service if you dine in is can improve.

I had the Beef kebab with plantains and the rice. It was okay. The chicken version tastes much better.

As to the service, we were seated and given the wrong menus (we arrived at eight and we’re given lunch menus, which only had a limited number of items.) after we were given the wrong menus by one of the . We waited about 10 to 15 minutes. No one came to take our order and we were the only ones on the second floor. I had to go downstairs and ask the proprietor and he gave me the right menu and then came to get our order after about five minutes.

He looked grumpy didn’t wanna be there and basically said they had none of the juices we wanted such as the ginger juice, which is very tasty. I can understand that he may have had a bad day, but in a customer facing situation, you gotta put on your best face.

Like I said, we had the food before. It’s very very good but if you’re gonna dine in, don’t expect any great service. I understand this is a tin establishment, specializing in West African food.

My family and I had dinner there today, even though Nigerians, we enjoyed the Ivorian jollof rice with their secret spicy sauce which is so delicious and out of this world!

Would encourage anyone looking for good food to come here!

Righteteous chicken plate with jollof and plantain. Delicious spicy sauce. Homemade ginger drink is immaculate on a hot dc summer day. I want to come back and try the fish. Friendly dude at the counter, too.

Our first taste and we ordered one of almost everything. Really delicious. Everyone was happy - that’s hard to do. We had tane out so no rating for service or atmosphere.
