Had the most amazing experience here! We came in as a walk in (6ish) and was able to get a table right away. The front desk employee was very friendly and helpful! Our server (I think her name was Ray) was the best! The food was great, can’t wait to try more of it the next time we visit. After our game time was up, we headed to the bar to finish our drinks. The bartender, Robbie, was awesome!!! Shoutout to everyone there who made our experience memorable. We will be back with friends.

Came here for my birthday a few years ago with a large group. My husband enjoyed it and wanted to go for his birthday on Saturday, 9/13 so we returned and were excited. There was a private event scheduled within a hour of our reservation time and we were rushed from the time we got there which was 30 minutes before our table reservation started. We were told the kitchen was closed and only my pre- ordered food would be brought out, leaving guests unable to order other food items they were interested in. The bar closed within 20 minutes of our reservation time and we then had to navigate to a restaurant close by once our reservation was over because most guests were still hungry. It was clear our experience wasn’t as important as the private party after ours. Very disappointing, we had friends travel from laurel and Columbia MD to enjoy this experience and they couldn’t even eat. Most people in our group have never been to Spin. I booked table a month in advance and called two days before to ask if I could bring cupcakes not once did anyone give us a heads up about the private event and amenities being withheld. I would have appreciated and email or a phone call with that information so we could have made the decision to celebrate my husbands birthday elsewhere or at Spin on another days instead of having friends and family travel far for a lack luster experience. Very disappointed in Spin. The waitress and ping pong ball collector were very friendly, grateful for them!

I’ve come here several times in the past and unfortunately I won’t be coming back. It used to be a great place to hang out, have fun with good food and drinks. However, it has steadily gone down hill. Mainly in the service department. Yesterday evening I went in for a drink at the bar. No hostess or server anywhere to be found upon entering. A server (not the bartender) asked what I wanted and got me a beer while I was sitting at the bar. I gave her my card to pay and leave the tab open. She returned the card and said she didn’t have access to the register behind the bar and that the bartender would take it. The bartender never came. He stayed on the back side of the bar the entire time. Never once walked over, offered a menu or acknowledgment. For 30 minutes I waited to try and pay and flag someone down. Finally I went to a table asked if I could see their menu, so I could see how much for the beer. I left that amount on the bar and walked out. Was the place busy? Understaffed? Overwhelmed? No. No. No. There was 1 group of people by the ping pong tables. One table of 4 near the bar and about 3 other people at the bar in total. The bartender and servers were all huddled on the backside of the bar doing anything but work. By the looks of the other reviews and lack of business on happy hour Thursday night, I suspect other patrons feel the same way.

1. Security guard did not allow to bring bottled water inside the club.
2. Front desk hostess was not friendly at all.
3. The music was too loud.
4. The temperature was too high for playing ping pong.
5. There was no advertised tennis swag.
6. The staff was not aware of the SPIN merchandise referenced in the attached snip.
7. No healthy food/drink options.

This bar is fun and used to be good for conventions/events but it cannot hold a large capacity of people, staff and security gets seriously overwhelmed and can cause issues and refunds for event holders. If you pay for an event and get a wristband. Security and staff can still bar you from getting back in if you just want to get some fresh air and boom entire night gone and you can't even tip your bartender... I've seen event holders refunding people who pre-registered tickets online in line, in person. As an event holder make sure to check them on capacity and overselling tickets to avoid refunds and chargebacks.

I came here at around 10:30 PM for the cosplay after party, but had a terrible experience. A large security guard told me I was drunk and refused to let me in, even though I was completely sober. I showed my ID and spoke politely, but he insisted on his claim without giving any clear reason. As an Asian guest, I can’t help but wonder if this was discrimination. This is unacceptable and ruined what was supposed to be a fun night. Very disappointing.

Went on Saturday at 11pm with a group of 6, place does not close until 1am, but host said ping pong tables were no longer being opened for play. Another group was actively playing on a table when we looked so we went back to server saying we brought our own paddles, can we play with those? Host said no. Left without getting to play.

Showed up at 10:30PM on a Saturday night and was told they were closing early so we weren't allowed to play games despite others playing games while we waited with friends who finished their drinks, which they were rushed to finish. Their website says they are open until 1AM and that they have a promotion for discount games after 10PM...

We chose SPIN DC for our rehearsal dinner/party for our wedding weekend. We rented out a private space that had its own bar, multiple ping pong tables, A/V setup (music and slideshow), and catering (both passed and stationed). From the very beginning of the process I was so happy we chose SPIN - they were so accommodating and helpful - everybody we worked with was so communicative, which goes a long way. Multiple other places we reached out to never even called us back, but SPIN went out of the way to get us so much information, without ever pressuring us. They even booked us for a night at the location to check out the space before we booked with them, and gave us a discount on our bill. On the rehearsal dinner night itself, everything went very smoothly, and all of our guests had an incredible time. The food and drink was very good (and plentiful), and everyone enjoyed playing ping pong. Special thanks to Renee Russel and Teresa Zawacki-Chapman who took such good care of us.

Wondered in here on a trip while staying at the Willard. Kid friendly and also fun for adults. Even if you don’t play pong (we did not) the food and service were exceptional. I felt so lucky to have discovered this place among so many other mediocre options in this area.

Terrible service.
Spend your money elsewhere…. Awful service unless you’re wearing a skirt. Been here multiple times, denied service base on race.

My companies staff had our summer bash here! It was absolutely fabulous, the staff was super quick, professional and clean. The food was delicious and the drinks even BETTER. Heavy on the alcohol in these drinks! 🍹 plenty of pin pong tables and we even had a personalized Photo Booth! Super clean restrooms and fun atmosphere! Would definitely recommend and come again.

I recently attended a work event here. Everything was great, except when I was served a drink, I noticed my glass was chipped. A few minutes later, a coworker showed me his glass, and it had an even more dangerous crack with a sharp edge on the rim. It was then that I realized the bartender was using the glasses themselves to scoop ice- which is the first thing you learn NOT to do when working a restaurant job as it's incredibly dangerous. Because I'd seen that glasses were being chipped and people might potentially be served drinks with broken shards of glass in them, I discretely informed two employees about the problem who were working at the front desk. They did not really understand why this practice is a problem but told me they would talk to the bartender about it, clearly just to placate me and to get me to go away. If they did end up speaking with the bartender, she did not listen as she continued to use glassware to scoop ice. All I could do was warn my coworkers about it.
Otherwise, we had a nice time, but knowing someone could swallow a shard of glass really made it hard to relax.

This is such a hidden gem! A friend and I just came for happy hour, not to play table tennis, and it was a great option! They have fantastic food - the farrow & chickpea salad and chicken & waffles pizza were delicious! They also have some good non-alc beverage options. Friendly staff, vibey atmosphere, and affordable menu - 10/10 would recommend!
