Spot of Tea - Union Market

We've only been in DC for 2 days, and somehow, we've made it back here twice. I've been on the hunt for great matcha when I travel, and this has definitely made the top of my list. We ordered the Mango Yuzu and Mango Matcha drinks the first day. Then, on the second day, we ordered the Mango Matcha and Lychee Matcha again. If you like your matcha sweet, I recommend ordering at least extra sweet and adding dairy milk to make the drink creamy. You can definitely taste the quality of matcha they use, but all of their drinks have been extremely tasty!

I loved my Hibiscus Mango fruit drink. I ordered it “more sweet” next time I would go for “extra Sweet”.. but the drink was very refreshing

Their matchas are so yummy!! I bought some for me and 2 friends and we all raved about how good they were. This will be my new go-to for iced matchas in the neighborhood!

Love the blue jasmine and classic milk tea with boba.
For a fruity drink, get the hibiscus mango or strawberry milk with lychee jelly. Super quick service. Solid spot all around

I recently tried the milk coffee and tea at Spot the Tea and found the flavors lacking. Unfortunately, I didn't notice a significant difference in taste compared to other places. At around $7 for a medium coffee, the price felt steep for what I received. While the ambiance is nice, I expected more from both the flavor and value. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re looking for the experience rather than the taste.

They have amazing boba! Their tea is amazing and their boba and lychee jelly is also good! My personal favorite is Hibiscus Mango.

Just okay. I think it's pretty overpriced for what it is. The staff was not super friendly. I was also disappointed that they no longer had the dairy free soft serve any longer. I got the taro with boba pearls.

Honest to god question: why go here when Gong Cha & Kung Fu Tea exists? I get that this store might use high quality ingredients, but what’s the point if doesn’t even taste good? You’re wasting the ingredients. News flash: not all organic/ healthy beverages have to taste bad.

Got the passion fruit tea: so sour, my throat was screaming with every sip.
Got the kiwi tea: mid.

I would take all the perfect reviews with a grain of salt. I would describe the population that hang out at union market the type of people who think anything diverse & exotic & healthy = good.
