I have never written a review before but I feel I must speak up about my meal here for the health and safety of others. The lemongrass chicken was unacceptable. It made me feel ill the whole day. My informed guess is that the chicken was old, as in left in the marinade too long. They said they cook it fresh everyday. What they meant was they grill old chicken from old marinade everyday. I was a line cook for five years. You can’t fool me. I know how chicken is supposed to be prepared, how it’s supposed to look and taste, and when to throw out the old stuff. I’m just glad it was me and not a child or elderly person who ate it. Please do better.

The Beltway had an umami taste to it, and I highly recommend it to everyone. It's not just tasty but also filling. If you read this. Please order it. You won't be disappointed in the least.

Honestly great pho and Bahn mi. There are a lot of options, including pepper tofu, soy curls, soy chips. Unfortunately they also have pate. Updated from previous review on 2024-12-30
waited until I'd visited a few times over the course of a few years to write a review to see first thing to note is there is WAY too much bread for the banh mi, and the amount of protein and mayo is insulting. Truly like about 1 tablespoon of mayo for the entire sandwich and maybe two tablespoons of protein, which is barely enough for half of the sandwich. I actually put all of the protein from both halves onto one and it was still too sparse.
The flavor for the "honey" hoison seitan is good but the texture is awful and very tough/ chewy.
I get that the kiosk thing is trendy, but it's very odd to walk into a place and have the staff completely ignore you whilst talking to each other.

I use to get sprig and sprout when I was a srudent at Georgetown from 2016-2020. It was easily the best pho in the city. Today I get an uber eats order and it was terrible. My pho tasted like water, the flavors i once savored are gone and the spice bomb was weak. Idk what is happening but the quality has reduced significantly. I am now sad I gotta find a new place.

I ordered the vegan egg rolls, tofu fries and vermicelli bowl with bbq seitan. Finally see a place that offers vegan protein options. Everything was delicious!
We always try to support our local restaurants, but guys do put at least 2 pieces of protein in banh mi, you charge enough.

To be fair, I had really high expectations for this because I’ve had incredible pho from other establishments. This just wasn’t good. It was ok for sure. But I paid $3.25 extra for mixed veggies that are 100% from a prepackaged bag. The vegetables don’t taste fresh at all and they were hard as rocks. The broth also lacks depth and flavor. They also don’t give much protein unless you ask for extra.
It’s a very simple place with very simple ingredients so if that’s what you’re looking for, this would be good for you. However, it was disappointing for me as someone who paid nearly $20 for a mediocre bowl of pho.
P.s. Charging $2.00 for egg seems criminal but I didn’t order it could be a miraculous egg that justifies just a high add on price.
Hope this place gets better.

Cannot say enough, good things about this place! I’ve had the tacos and the sandwich, both were delicious. Staff are friendly and food doesn’t take too long. Will definitely keep coming back for lunch and recommend you do the same!

To begin with I ordered through door dash. There's no option for siracha hoisin and other condiments. The phone number on the website is a general number. How to get in touch with a live person

Very good banh mi! The top part of the restaurant is under construction currently so only the fast service area is available, and i wasn’t crazy about the ordering through an ipad and not talking to anyone because that meant i got a lot less information about the food (i didn’t know the banh mi came with jalapeños on it and i had to remove them). however once i took the peppers off it was a really good sandwich! the service was also pretty fast. Caters well to vegans in that vegan options are clearly labeled and there are a good amount of vegan options. i do want to go back once the upstairs is complete.
