Sandwiches aren't wonderful, but the baked goods and the soups!

So many decadent pastries to choose from! The Barracks Row location is cozy with a more limited menu and selection. The savory Mushroom Cheese Empanada/Turnover with grilled mushrooms stuffed inside a crispy cheddar cheese shell hit the spot! The Chocolate Twist was fun to try with rich chocolate baked into layers of dough. Will have to try the breads next time!

Yum! I had a meeting across the street at the Marine Barracks and they recommended I come here for lunch. I had a delicious Tuna Salad sandwich on their 3 Grain Bread. While I wouldn't put carrots in my Tuna and I didn't taste/see any of the sour capers that they said were in there, the bread was amazing. It was the perfect match (and was recommended by the person at the counter). Additionally, I took a loaf of the holiday stollen bread back to my office for my colleagues. We ate the whole loaf with a little butter before the end of the work day. It was amazingly good.

10/10 would recommend ! Came on a rainy day and just wanted a warm spot to get some work done without a lot of noise. The person working there was super helpful and welcoming. I went on a whim and got the Red Pepper Gouda soup and BLT sandwich (even though I usually don't eat meat this was worth it )

Fairly good. I've been here twice and usually get a ham sandwich with soup. The sandwiches are great. The soup, not so much. I've tried their crab and their chicken noodle. Neither were very good. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. However, there's limited seating. Looking forward to trying some of their desserts.

I have walked by Spring Mill Bread company for over 5 years and never tipped toed my way in here. I was hungry and in the mood for something light . . . specifically soup . . . so I said to myself that I would try them out. Upon arrival in this cute cafe, the store smelled amazing with a ton of baked goods. Fresh baked breads, pies, cakes, pastries, and the like were on display and everyone patron who walked in order something of the sort. Friendly staff person and the transaction was quick and simple. Hoping that they would have good a soup selection or something tasty enough to peak my taste buds; they actually had 2 great selections. I ordered the Turkey Kale Soup and took it to go. I arrived at home and once settled I began to taste the soup. It was flavorful, hearty on the kale and ground turkey, and eaten with every drop! They do offer breakfast, coffee, soup, sandwiches and an assortment of breads and desserts. I'm should've incorporated this spot into my weekly stroll when I was living in the neighborhood. Anywho . . . this cute and quaint bread shop is for all bread lovers who just want a slice or they are coming to eat a delicious sandwich or pie! :)

I want to LOVE this place, the bread and few pastries I've tried are all 5-stars, but the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich I'm barely eating is so disappointing that I stopped part way through to write a review. First - I watched them microwave it in a plastic container. Over $7 for a thin lonely microwaved egg with an unfindable piece of cheese and two tiny strips of bacon. The guts of the sandwich were thinner than either piece of bread. In short - The bread is great, sandwich ratio is terrible and watching your food be microwaved in plastic and taste mediocre is pretty lame. If you're not equipped to make meal-type food in a safe, healthy and appetizing way - just stick with your strengths. Bread and pastries!

first timer and gave the Asiago Pesto loaf a try. It just might be the best bread in the city. I will be back regularly.

I go here often because the location is convenient. The food is delicious but customer service is consistently awful. The biggest issues are: 1. Not having food (or even coffee!) ready to serve when they open, which is already later than your standard bakery. The majority of their baked goods, which are delivered, don't even arrive until at least an hour after opening. Their outdoor furniture is also rarely set up close to opening time and I frequently have to drag my own chairs out if I want to sit outside. None of the staff has ever offered to lend a hand when they see me doing this. 2. Lazy, uncourteous staff. Most of the staff greets and serves customers as though they were a giant pain. Most of the younger employees seem barely awake. A few were clearly annoyed when I asked why there was no iced coffee to serve at opening. 3. Lack of knowledge of products. If the baked items aren't labeled, which is often the case, and you ask what things are, be prepared for blank looks and false guesses. This place could be really great, but management and staff have clearly forgotten they're running a business.

Had a sample of their apricot cinnamon bread and it was so tasty. All I thought was if I toasted this and just put some butter on this it would be heavenly.

Was visiting a customer in the area and they ordered in food for the team. I got a turkey sandwich and have to say it was better than expected. I don't visit that area often but would certainly try there again if I did.

Love their bread, especially the 7 grain. So much flavor and a wonderful texture. Always enjoy their sandwiches, as well. Great pesto, and their turkey tastes excellent.

Absolutely delicious! Chicken salad sandwiches were very tasty. We also bought a couple loaves of bread that were very good as well. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. The prices were very reasonable as well. Would highly recommend!
