Absolutely welcome place for dinner with kids. The steak was the best! This place where you want to come back again and again!Parking: Across the street free parking, but it is difficult to find a slot daytime.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely welcome kids! Had my birthday dinner there on the patio. Service was amazing! They brought me a cake and a little birthday drink for me and my brother. The steak was the best I’ve had in a while, you could cut it with a spoon. And the drinks… OMG, I had two of the juleps and not only were they delicious, but they were visually appealing as well. Great experience overall!!
Well thought out restaurant in trendy Union Market neighborhood. Well themed, edited menu of delicious and fairly priced food and excellent service. Highly recommend for brunch, lunch, dinner or fun.

My absolute favorite restaurant in DC! Always consistently good. Pricier than some places, but absolutely worth it! I almost always get the Ribeye steak and creamed spinach, and I ALWAYS get the biscuits. Their Iceberg salad is actually incredible as well. Quality ingredients cooked wonderfully.There's also a wine sommelier in house, at least when I went. He helped me out quite a bit on my early Valentine's date to pick something for our tastes. Amber, our server, was incredible as well! Made our night feel really special!Dietary restrictions: They're the type of establishment that inquires about them from guests. They care.

I had heard a lot of recommendations about St Anselm when I was planning my trip to D.C., so I definitely wanted to check this steakhouse out, and I was not disappointed one bit - this place is fantastic! My personal recommendations are the pimento cheese and buttermilk biscuits, the bacon-fried mash and the prime T-bone, as well as the ice cream - my one was made with freshly toasted marshmallows! The service was fantastic too, and the atmosphere was excellent as well - a true gem! My sole regret is that I only went once; next time I’m in D.C., I think I’ll be stopping by a fair few times :)
Wow!... I'm originally from DC and have been away for 30 years ...but St. Anselm...was like having a meal at the Liabrary of Congress...surrounded by history, great food and great people!

Been a while since we have had food this good. Johnathan took great care of us and made exellent recommendations. Roman was our sommelier.
