We were visiting Washington DC again and we were googling pubs and this place came up with really good reviews. It’s a very unique smaller pub where you walk down the steps to get inside. One of the owners was the bartender and was very personable and fun. Very unique concept where they have a pretty much full menu but they’re known for their mussels and french fries. What a great place! The mussels, frites and burger were excellent. We loved the great variety of top shelf Belgian beers. Add to all of this a friendly and helpful staff, and it doesn't get any better. A+! We will definitely return.
Fun Mussel Bar
We had a great time at this mussel bar! The food was very decent— I tried the Arnold mussel casserole, and my companion had the classic mussel casserole. Both were delicious and came with perfectly crispy French fries. The beers were cold, refreshing, and flavorful, which added to the experience.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and we even got to chat with one of the owners, who was incredibly welcoming.
