Featured Blonde Roast

In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance. Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right-mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.

My favorite Starbucks in town. It can get busy in the mornings, but the staff is great - particularly Calvin who always remembers my name and takes that extra second to ask me how my morning is going. It's always appreciated.

I also like the new layout w/o seating. It's much better for all the commuters that no longer have to squeeze next to each other while waiting.

This Starbucks outlet is one of two which used to exist in the West End of DC. Covid killed off the one with decent seating. This spot at M/24 used to have a restroom and at least a barstool area where one could pretend it's a coffee shop. Now it's merely outpost to pick up drinks which continue to increase in cost (don't forget to tip a suggested dollar!) If you want a S'bux to go, this is fine. You can also buy a $20 souvenir cup here, just in case.If you...
