Incident: Very Unprofessional employee, racially profiled by barista while sitting with my family after GWU commencement on 05/18/25 1:20 PM
I would give this location 0 stars if I have to. Very unprofessional baristas who clearly have nothing better to do than harass their own customers who are sitting there minding their own business. For context, I was just spending my time with my family and I was harassed by a barista on the fact that I didn’t buy anything from them. She was very demeaning to me and humiliated me in front of other customers including my family. I am coming all the way from another state to see my sister graduate from law school on this special day. All the baristas at this location should be trained on how to handle customer interactions and situations. Starbucks, please do better and hold your employees accountable. I will not be coming back here again next time I visit DC.
Update: *** Corporate has been called and they are investigating the incident and the District manager has been notified about the incident. ***
I work in customer service / retail likewise and at least I work, the customer is the center of everything we do and we aim for 100% satisfaction. My experience didn’t reflect that as a customer.
Don’t open the time they said it should open but the staff was in there she is very rude
The hours at the store are laughably bad. If you have any evening coursework at Elliot, forget it.
Staff seem nice and relatively quick, if frazzled. They're pretty much the only reason I'll give this a two instead of a one.

The baristas here are hustling and doing a great job with a rush, were very friendly and even willing to remake a drink we accidentally ordered wrong! Great place!
The cashier was so rude, never happened to me ever in a Starbucks.
Nice staff, but in the last half year, they've had issues with their nitro cold brews. They've become 75% foam. You have to wait 15 minutes to drink it.

It was a busy snowy day, and Bria heard my order and served it just as I was walking away from the register after paying.
Everyone was helpful, genuine, real and quick. Starbucks and the manager should be be more than grateful to have this staff here and at this location 🙌 👏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If i could give a zero star i would the service was terrible 3-4 girls at the counter doing nothing when i showed up to choose my drink from the menu they were just standing there talking i had to wait till they were done on top of that the girl at the barista with the short hair was having an attitude when she was calling my name to take my drink very unproffesional service wasnt good at all
Tiny, cramped, and loud! With the tables, there is nowhere to stand to wait for your order without being in the way of others or where you can hear your name called.

I’m on vacation with some friends and the cold it’s perfect for a coffee, we saw that they close at 5:30 because it’s a Sunday but it was 4:30pm when we got in, and they didn’t want to serve us because they were closing and they wanted to go it’s understandable but the attitude of all the workers, why do you have to scream at people?? Why you have to have an attitude?? Then they served us but coffee tastes bad when it’s made badly and with attitude?
