Great location and lovely staff working here - always a smile, hello, and cheerful engagement. There are some constant staff and then some rotation but have to say I always feel valued and appreciated as a customer. They are super fast at doing your drinks and food. I do order a few minutes before I go there as I live down the road and its handy to get the order in, breeze in and they have it ready. I also don't mind waiting but figure sometimes its easier for them when you order ahead.Location is always spotless and there is nearly always someone cleaning up, wiping floors or making sure its clean. They do have seating outside the store which closes in the evenings but is usually well set with students from AU and retirees and business folks doing interviews and meetings. They also have outside seating which is fab in the warmer weather. Depending on the time of day you may or may not be lucky to get seating. In winter there are some seats along the walkways to the medical center so if you're stuck walk down the corridor and you'll find some spots to park yourself.Great beverages, tasty treats and great staff. I love it!
After a doctor's appointment in the Foxhall building, I went to Starbucks for something refreshing. This was one of the most spacious Starbucks I've been to. The retail space is separated from the cafe area. I got my usual - Trenta Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher made with water instead of lemonade. It was sweet, fruity, tropical, and quite refreshing.

Well, sitting in enjoying my coffee and scone, a barista came by with free samples of this walnut praline latte. They couldn't redeem my stars because something was going on with their system. This was kind of them and delicious, maybe next time I'll get one?

At 6:45 in the morning I was completely ghosted by a young man with a beard who refused to lower the music playing at around a100 dB. Not a good day to start a Saturday dude with a beard! You are here to SERVE not to ignore, and piss off!

Usually the people at this Starbucks are professional and kind. Today, after my Dr’s app I bought a coffee, and the fake, not nice employee making the coffee (a short size caramel m.) did not want to give me an extra cup as it was really hot. Pathetic and I even added a dollar tip. I did not want to get into it but he should know better. Bad moment for no reason. BURNING CUP. I have not seen him before.

It is always an awesome treat for me. It's my go-to place to sit, relax, and be in the moment. The staff at almost all, if not all, had always been pleasant and willing to accommodate you. I love their cake pops, iced lemon and seasonal loaf slices,
I ordered a bagel w/cream cheese and a hour later remembered I didn't get it. So I went back to the store and told them I forgot it. And the lady just handed me the original bagel I ordered. It was cold and they didn't even off to heat it up or replace it. I know it's not their fault I left it, but the best thing they could have did was offer to reheat it.

This location is one of two near American University.*Definitely go here*The staff is friendly and I have never had a problem with my drink order, whether ordering in-person or through the app. The only downside is if you want to work/sit at a table with typical cafe noises in the background, you won’t really find that here as the seating area is in a separate space from the baristas.
