Japanese A5 WAGYU 5 oz filet was outstanding and definitely exceeded my expectations! The recommendation on the menu is to get 4 or 5 oz if you get it. When going for such quality, go all the way and get 5 oz. The filet melts in your mouth. The seasoning highlights the filet flavor and doesn’t overpower it. The vibe of the restaurant was not what I expected but was more fun with music that I didn’t anticipate. I didn’t want to change any taste buds with cocktails or wine when I had the filet so I only drank water. Please try it!
Bon appetite!

We chose STK based on a previous great experience in Dallas and made reservations to celebrate our anniversary. We drove an hour and a half specifically for this dinner, looking forward to recreating that experience. I even confirmed online that we were running slightly late, but no one informed us that the restaurant was completely sold out.
When we arrived, we were told there would be an hour wait. That was extremely frustrating — especially after driving 90 minutes for a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. If the restaurant was sold out, the reservation system should have reflected that. To make matters worse, there was little to no empathy from the manager regarding the situation, and we ended up spending $50 on valet parking for nothing.
Fortunately, the evening was saved when we went to Mastro’s instead. The experience there was outstanding. The food was superior, the staff was warm and welcoming, and they truly helped us celebrate our anniversary the right way.
So, while STK dropped the ball, it ultimately led us to a much better experience elsewhere.

Horrible. My spouse made reservations for our anniversary and I am currently here at STK and told we have a 45min wait despite having 6:45pm reservations. We drove from Baltimore to come to this restaurant my hubby wanted to come to. They have a private function that took precedent over existing reservations. The manager said their system doesn't tell them when they are sold out. Foolishness!!!! I guess we'll have to wait to go to Dallas to enjoy this restaurant. We won't be back. So dissapointing but headed Maestro's to confirm we could salvage our anniversary dinner.

STK-Manage Open Table better. Our wait was unnecessary. Ober 30 mins, and we were told they overbooked...seems like on purpose. Lots of groups waiting, when we got in, our server was fantastic.
Food was top-tier. Pasta was al dente- the bite was sooo good. Lobster linguine. Cheesesteak egg roll, was eh.skip it
The salad was great and my drink was really good- Fade to Blackberry.
Can't wait for weather to break to hit up Happy hour, which folks rave over.. oh they did send out a round of shots to everyone to boost the mood..

We had reservations for what was meant to be our make-up Valentine’s Day dinner, as we had to attend a funeral on the actual holiday. Unfortunately, the evening was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Despite having a reservation, we were not seated for an hour. While we were told the restaurant was severely backed up, no accommodations or gestures were offered to acknowledge the inconvenience. For a brand with the reputation of STK, that was surprising.
The food was simply not worth the extended wait, and the atmosphere felt chaotic and impersonal — more like an airport terminal than the elevated, high-energy dining experience STK is known for in other cities around the world. The DC location, in our experience, does not reflect the standard the brand has built elsewhere. Our waiter was kind, and we appreciate his professionalism, but overall the service and ambiance did not align with what we have previously experienced at STK. Sadly, we would not return to this location.

My husband and I dined here on Valentines Day & it did not live up to the hype. To begin with, the host at the front door was rude. I ordered a steak and it was extremely dry and flavorless even though I asked for medium well. The plate presentation was poor. They literally plated this small steak on a huge plate and it looked ridiculous!. I ordered asparagus the asparagus was hard and undercooked, no seasoning and tasted like charcoal. My husband said his lamb chops were good that’s the reason for the 2 stars but they burned his brussel sprouts and literally had scraps of Brussel sprouts. The manager asked us how our food was and I told her the truth. She was super kind and tried her best to fix the situation & did compensate us. However, our waiter when asked for the check brought the check and had a whole new rude attitude we didn’t understand why, but he was nasty and rude at the end. Overall not a good experience and we will not be back. The bathrooms are also all the way across the hall in the hotel. It was super inconvenient when you are eating in a restaurant and have to go that far to use the restroom.

This place is a vibe but a bit overhyped and overpriced. We did a valentines lunch here which was nice but the service was pretty bad but we stayed and didn’t complain in real time as they were swamped. Mary Kate needed help but they didn’t seem to be working as a team. Zach is good people he works the bar area - was nice to see him. The food was pretty good. We were able to share a few plates. The drinks were good as well - shoutout to the bar service! We may go again to give another shot but not anytime soon likely - more to come.
