We stop here every year when my brother and I meet for a guy's weekend in DC. The food is ok. There's a decent selection of bar food options, but nothing to write home about. The Stoneys beers are really good.

I'd definitely recommend for drinks and dinner. Just don't expect fine dining or gourmet food.

Good local bar. I only go when Paul is the nighttime bartender. People overlook the food. Go simple...grilled cheese or pizza.

Buyer beware. Neither their online or printed menu is correct. I was overcharged $8 dollars and they did not refund my money. Very shady and bad customer service. I'm pretty sure it is illegal to charge more than the stated price on the menu.

What a mistake this was. After having the grilled cheeses talked up all evening we stopped by and I was ready to go to town. Unfortunately there was only 1 grilled cheese on the menu and it was $12 for some american cheese on challah. The other claimed "grilled cheeses" read more like hot sandwiches with a slice of cheese melted in as an afterthought. Distraught, I resigned myself to getting the pretzel, because my assumption was that it would be difficult to mess it up, but I'll be damned if they didn't find a way. I was not sure before tonight that the main texture of a homemade soft pretzel could be "gritty," but I have since learned. The pretzel came with a side of cheese sauce for dipping, it was a sauce with a faint hint of cheese. My date got the thunderbird, a hot sandwich focused on turkey with a suggestion of cheese found under the heading "grilled cheese" that must be the reason behind the annual tradition of the president pardoning a turkey, to spare it that same, shameful fate. The $8 side order of onion rings (at least if ordered by themselves) seemed to have been of the same quality that would be found in the frozen section at the local dollar general. The staff was kind, from what I could hear at least, but the obnoxiously drunk group yelling and roaming around the bar was too much to take, forcing me walk out, leaving most of my beer unfinished, a pretzel, and my hope for ending my night on a positive note.
