My friends and I really enjoyed our experience here. We sat indoors right by the outdoor patio. Our group dined on a Tuesday where the taco Tuesday special was an extra taco with the 2 tacos that are already included. You can pick and choose whether you want the same kind of taco or something different.

We ordered the Island Nachos, birria, Cabo San Lucas and Maui tacos. The consume broth was so rich and the Branzino was cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious and made fresh. The food came out very fast. Yes the prices are at a premium here but you get a lot of protein and some rice with the entrees as well. Our server was great and parking was free after 5 pm during the week.

When I first walked in I was greeted by a lovely man named “Anthony” he was so outgoing and kind. He made sure we got the best server in the house, “Mati” our food was delicious and the service was amazing, highly recommend.

This casual, dog-friendly Tenley Town Mexican eatery offers an accessible atmosphere where patrons can bring their dogs to outdoor seating areas. The food is simply amazing. We started with the Bermuda Triangle tortilla chips which came with creamy queso that was smooth, rich and had a memorable indulgent texture. The spicy salsa was vibrant and fresh and was also memorable for its fiery heat 🔥. For my main, I had the hearty Andros steak burrito. It had succulent, huge pieces of steak, perfectly complemented by the sweetness of corn, the bright acidity of fresh tomatoes, all nestled in a fragrant yellow rice. Overall service was positive and cheerful. This was simply a great Mexican dining experience.

I don't understand the hype for this spot. The tacos here are just are not worth the price. $14 for two tacos and a mound of boxed yellow rice? Ouch. The quality of the meat is fine but the pastor tasted like that red premix stuff. The pineapple also didn't taste particularly fresh. Tortillas were alright but nothing special. My fiance ordered sliders and they were plainly bad (pork belly is hard to screw up), and the portion was again pretty small for the price. Maybe we're spoiled Californians but this was a disappointment for us. Won't be back.

I'm from California, and this was amazing Baja-style food. I never knew you could get that in DC!

I spent a couple hours here because my flight was delayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My Cosmos were perfectly pink. (If they’re clear and red they’re not made correctly) and only $6 during Happy Hour. I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, Cosmos I ordered the Bora Bora marinated chicken without the tortilla over rice. It was delicious! The chicken was so tender and tasty and all the flavors were wonderful. I also enjoyed watching the surfers on TV,. The waves relaxed me instead being stressed out over a delayed flight. Definitely recommend this place for its casual atmosphere and good food. Even if you don’t like Mexican!

Overpriced for basic food, a subpar margarita, and slow service. ($85 for two margs, a salad, and tacos - and did I mention the neon yellow color of the “Spanish” rice?) I’ve come before with friends who have kids so maybe there’s appeal for families, but I wouldn’t return.

Surfside is our go-to lunch spot near work, and my coworkers and I absolutely love it. The tacos are always fresh and flavorful— truly the best around. The Mexican-California vibe is spot on, and the bowls, chips, and salsa never disappoint. The indoor-outdoor seating adds to the chill, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll be back again and again. 10/10!
