Still, no mistakes on what we ordered and everything came out quickly, hot, or cold as appropriate, and looked nice too.I haven't had enchiladas in years, and gave theirs a shot. Ordered the Cozumel Enchiladas and they were very good. Nicely caramelized cheese on the plate and the beans and rice were also very good. Excellent Mai Tai and a full pour on my beer.This place is large and has a sports bar vibe but the food a drinks are above average so don't worry about getting your money's worth here.10/10 would enchilada again

We ordered 2 different burritos and both were 3/4 rice. They also let you know that they add a "fee" to compensate for wage increase. Seems that this place is cost-cutting aggressively, yet somehow for a lower price I can get much better burritos in DC.

First, the vibe here is amazing. Very tropical and relaxing. My favorite is the TVs that just play clips of the waves. The food is amazing. I had the street corn to start and for my entree, I had the Bora Bora tacos. Both were really delicious. The service was great. We were seated right away and our server, Ava, checked on us frequently and was so nice! There was virtually no wait for the food. Definitely coming back for the good vibes and to try more tacos!!

This place is a joke; it has good food, but the service, price, and management are terrible. Where was the manager when the service was taking too long, or our server was less than welcoming, he sure did run after us when they thought we didn't pay after using the 'new payment system'. Two thumbs way down.

Surfside to me is one of the more consistent when it comes to quality and service in the DMV area. I love their vegan/vegetarian options and the nachos are always a hit for me and the awesome thing is some of the locations are 24 hours so you don't have to limit Eating at Surfside to just taco Tuesdays or just a lunchtime quick fix. Also, the location that near Tenleytown has really nice layout and is inviting.

Surfside Tenleytown is a gem. The food is really good, the service we've received has always been great, and you can't beat the beachy Tex Mex ambience. It's a large airy space with garage-style doors that can be rolled up in good weather to essentially turn the entire restaurant into open air dining. There's also a back room for private events and a large patio, which has plastic curtains and heat lamps for colder weather. The menu is all solid, with bright flavors. I loved the Malibu tacos for a vegetarian entree, and the kids' entrees were both sizeable enough to take home for leftovers -- which they happily ate both days. It's family friendly; bustling but not overly loud, good kids menu options, and coloring place mats. There is a parking garage that I think is free for Surfside patrons after 5:00 pm but we've always grabbed street parking pretty easily.
Very friendly staff. They happily helped me make an item vegan for me and it was delicious. ☺️

Stopped into surfside today , outstanding!!!! The service is excellent and the food is also excellent!! If you have a chance I highly recommend trying this place out!! I had the tuna poke which was very good and a salmon salad over arugula which was absolutely amazing!! Go check this place out!!

I was at D.C. for the weekend with peers and we stopped at Surfside for food. As a person who has worked at a restaurant for almost 4 years I was left impressed with not only the service, but how delicious the food was!!! I will definitely be coming back next time I’m around! ?

I’ve been here a few times, the nachos are usually good. This time however, a cup of water accidentally spilled into the nachos just as the waiter was leaving. I quickly notified our waiter about the accident. A few minutes later, they brought back a new plate. Unfortunately, it was the same plate, they just drained out the water. I would not recommend the watery nachos. Additionally, there’s a 3% “I-82 surcharge” on the bill. What a bummer.

Great food and the people are so friendly! Surfside has great music and looks beautiful with its surfboards adding to the beach theme. I was sat immediately and they brought out food so quickly in under 10 minutes. The service is always fast and the food is always delicious!
