I am an extremely picky eater, but their salsa is incredible. It is always fresh no matter when I order it. It is just delicious. The staff is great and always friendly as well.

It's a taco stand, open 24-7, near DuPont Circle. They do have tables, with seasonal covering, that are popular. Food is outstanding, the best tacos I have had in the area. Many items are served on bed of buttered rice that is delicious. Food ingredients are fresh and full of flavor and satisfying. Most things are made fresh, so they're able to adjust some ingredients.

Nice portion sizes and food was yummy. The chicken actually seems to be grilled and has a nice char taste to it! I feel like a lot of places call their chicken “grilled” but don’t really grill it. We also got the kids quesadilla for my son and that was good too. The horchatas had a BOGO deal so we tried that and they tasted so good. Creamy, a little sweeter than I would like but I think the average person would appreciate it lol. Would definitely try again!
Seating is minimal- no more than 8 seats at most so be mindful of that during their busy times.

Please ensure that the staff are reviewing the order tickets. I ordered food while at work 4:00 in the morning and I selected 'add utensils'. 'Add utensils' printed out on the ticket that was stapled to my bag on the outside and there was no utensils in the bag.
There are no supplies at my job so I requested the utensils to be able to eat the food. I was charged $30 with no glitches for food that I cannot eat because nobody bothered to check the ticket for accuracy. 🤔 🤷🏽♀️ I didn't get a handheld item like a burrito or taco.
Can you imagine being at work, hungry accidentally left your packed lunch on the counter at home. Deciding to depend on a delivery order to fuel your body for a shift and cannot eat it because nobody included a fork 😕. I could've worked with a spoon 🥄 but not even that was included. No napkin either.
I understand it was not intentional but attention to detail never hurt anyone.

I have a soft spot for any place with a walk-up window, and Surfside nails it. There is something about being able to order great food without stepping inside that feels like such a win, especially for those of us with dogs who like to tag along. I wish DC had more spots like this because it makes grabbing a bite feel easy and fun.
I first tried Surfside for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito. It was fine, but as someone who spent a year in Texas and California, I will admit I am a bit of a breakfast burrito snob. This time though, I stopped by craving tacos and went for the shrimp tacos, and wow. The mango pineapple salsa was divine, the rice was full of flavor, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Everything hit just right.
If you find yourself near Surfside and the weather is nice, walk up, grab your order, and enjoy it outside. It is one of those casual DC spots that just makes you happy to live here.
