3.5 stars…I love this place, but I'm BEGGING them to include the wasabi cream and seaweed on the Cherry Blossom roll for takeout. I have ordered it numerous times, and only once has it been included. It’s part of the roll, and if I’m paying nearly $20 for it, it should be included.

Unfortunately Kotobuki in Geoergetown was closed during lunch time, my choice for japanese restaurants in Georgetown neighborhood was limited. Came here for the first time with my friend. We ordered chirashi and 15pcs nigiri. Chirashi was just ok for the price but 15pc nigiris were tasty and fresh. I will definitely come back for nigiri's next time.

I can’t say enough good things about Kusshi; this spot is a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the staff (Darya) made me feel so welcomed and taken care of. The service was top-tier; warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell they care about every detail of your experience.

Now let’s talk about the food… The Nutella Roll was TO. DIE. FOR. 🍫🍣 It’s the perfect sweet ending — rich, creamy, and somehow still light enough to leave you wanting more. I wasn’t expecting a dessert sushi roll to be a standout, but it’s an absolute must-try.

Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a place with heart and flavor, Kusshi delivers every time. Already planning my next visit!

Delicious sushi restaurant with a local neighborhood feel. Fantastic takeout, fairly priced. We enjoyed an early Saturday night dinner, and Alex’s service was 5 star. He went above and beyond, anticipated every need we had. Between him and the food it was a perfect night.

Small, cozy Japanese sushi bar. Great service and food made with care. As the only food place visited during a very short trip to DC I recommend!

Got some Maki Rolls and a Miso Soup delivered on Uber Eats earlier tonight. Great quality as to be expected from Kusshi and the Miso was still piping hot too! 11/10 would recommend to others.
