We loved it here! It was just a really great experience and you can tell it's very intentional. The seating is family style so you are probably going to sit with some strangers and make friends, but I think that's the whole point. Don't forget to step out and go to the historical exhibit right outside. It's powerful and it ties the entire experience together.
Had the fried chicken, greens, mac n cheese, sweet cornbread, and walnut marble pound cake. Everything was on point. Great finish to an amazing visit to the African American Museum.
My wife and I decided to eat here for lunch while visiting the museum. We had heard the food was good. Well, we thought the food was average at best. The selection was big but I wanted fried chicken white meat. They didn’t have any, just dark meat. So I got baked chicken white meat. \nThe prices were outrageous. Both of us had chicken and one side item and one drink. We did have a dessert, molten lava cake which was dry. $66! That is crazy.
