Got a bacon egg and cheese with extra bacon and they gave me two pieces of bacon cut in half to look like 4. I paid $14 for the sandwich. When I asked to cashier if it was the correct amount of back she told me one piece had extra bacon. I much rather just go to the big chef around the corner where a normal bacon egg and cheese comes with four pieces for $10

My family and I had Ethiopian Beyaynetu (Combination Platter) and Tibs at Sylvan Café tonight, and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was flavorful and delicious—my wife and kids loved every bite. The customer service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys spicy and authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

Our group was visiting from out of town and wanted to find a coffee shop within walking distance from our airbnb. We saw the great reviews for Sylvan cafe and decided to stop in. I got a Chai latte and veggie omelet which were affordable and very tasty! I’d highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area
Be prepared to wait 35 minutes for a simple omelette that you will then have to return because they got the order wrong.

The atmosphere had such a good vibe, relaxed but lively, with slow background songs that set the perfect mood for enjoying a meal. Definitely a place I’ll come back to! Best in the DMV area
