Overall good experience, but probably won't return. I've been coming to Taberna for over 20 years. Definitely gone downhill in terms of the professionalism of the service and certainly the quality of the Paella. But still one of the few authentic Spanish restaurants in DC.

Three of us had a perfect dining experience. The dining room is well designed, and it is easy to hear one's companions. The service is crisp and professional. We enjoyed the soup of the day and several tapas, all of which were great. The fried eggplant drizzled with honey were a unique, terrific surprise. Can't wait to go back and have this dish again. One of us was celebrating a birthday, and there was a lovely card on the table when we arrived, and 2 plates of dessert...

We loved the decor and feel. The food was quite good, but I found the service to be very slow. There were long delays, and it took a while to get our check. Overall, I'd definitely go back though!
