My son loved it. He is a bread and cheese guy. I liked it. To me, it was "Russian pizza". Server was awesome. Friendly, helpful, she told you what items were, taste, her experiences.

This was my first experience with Georgian food in DC. Having enjoyed authentic Georgian cuisine in Tbilisi, I can say the food here isn’t quite the same. I’m also puzzled by the high prices for Georgian food in the US. While I liked the drinks and the service was good, I’d prefer to have authentic food for what I paid.

We had a delicious dinner at Supra, so I ordered food from Tabla on 10/24/24. I got the grilled chicken and Eggplant-Tomato Megruli. The former was OK (although the cabbage salad that came with it was awful), but the latter tasted awful, as if something had gone bad or some chemical had been spilt on it. Maybe the cabbage salad and the eggplant-tomato megruli have smoked items in them (I can't eat smoked things)? If they do have smoked items, the menu should say so because some people have allergies to smoked items. Anyhow, I was up that night vomiting because of whatever it was on the eggplant-tomato megruli. I ate very little of it and threw the rest away---thank goodness. Don't think I'll try this place again.
Went for a private event. The food was good. If you are looking for authentic Georgian, this isn't it. but it's a great fusion for those looking for tastes reminiscent of Georgia.

On a Sunday morning, Tabla was not crowded and it was easy to get a table. Me and one other person got the bacon egg and cheese fries, an ajaruli, and an order of donuts. The food was excellent, but I loved the bacon+egg+cheese fries, which were more like thick slices of potato than fast food french fries. The sauce on the fries was the best part. I also got a latte with a double shot of espresso and regular milk and it was excellent. Service was top notch, and the food came out quickly.
