Excellent flavors and beautifully presented. The meal was well paced and the team service was great. We love the fun and fancy drink presentations too. This was our 2nd birthday celebration and we plan to return for sure.
For a 1* Michelin - it lives up to it with the appetizers. But the mains were disappointing (very mild Indian flavors - perhaps catered for other profiles), Never had such terrible service at a 1* (been to 25+ easily globally) — drinks late, brought our own wine and not even told the corkage, our own wine was opened well after first course and after bar drinks came (why?) — our bottles are already there :(. Also ordered non-alcoholic drinks 3x yet waiter kept insisting we were delivered the 3rd drink — apologies but why would we game for a $15 drink when we are spending $100 / person for food? Lastly, not even 1 offer of any concession for the poor, untimely service - comes off as minimal or 0 respect for the one thing that keeps the Resturant alive - the Customer. PleasE please - focus on the VOC - “Voice of Customer”. Call me anytime for candid and respectful feedback if you want it - Naik is the name, table for 6 at 630pm — bill was $1200. Michelin - sadly think your standards have dropped. #puzzled
Hands-down the BEST chef taster experience we have ever had. Each dish only got better, the perfect balance of flavor and uniqueness. Welcoming, friendly, attentive service, Soji was absolutely amazing and the best. Highly recommend and hope to visit again.
Loved loved loved bed the food. Very tasty, great presentation, and did not make you feel stuffy. Drinks were very creative. Service was amazing and ambiance was joyful. Definitely worth the price. Highly recommend even for those who don't care for Indian food.
Everything was outstanding: the food was flavorful and creative, the service was impeccable, the noise level was relatively quiet, even though the dining room was pretty full. My only complaint was that the glass of Cremant that I had before the meal was pretty flat. My partner's cocktail was perfect. We are looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend Rania to others.
Loved our experience from beginning to end. Great food and amazing service. The main course dishes were a blend of traditional Indian and international cuisine. My wife and I are of Indian origin, so we appreciate good Indian cooking. What was surprising was that our adult US-born children who snub Indian spices. also loved it. Neither wanted to join us for lunch when we invited them to Rania. Both were ecstatic that they did. Thanks Team Rania!
Rania is a superlative culinary experience serving elevated Indian-inspired cuisine. Traditional Indian flavors are incorporated into modern plates and served with elegance. The chef's tasting menu included lamb kebab, oysters, chicken with truffle cream, lobster dumpling, a samosa-inspired amuse bouche, and a main course of pork belly and pork loin in a masala sauce, roti, and basmati rice. Dessert was a classic apple tarte tatin. Rania is worth the trip and will impress your partner, in-laws, and business associates.
Rania was delicious and the perfect place for a night out. I really enjoyed the elevated Indian dishes. My only complaint was that the cocktails were a bit sweet for my taste but overall, it was an amazing meal! I highly recommend the kofta for the first course and the duck vindaloo for the third. Hoping to come back and try the chef's tasting menu soon!
Attentive service, a good choice for each of the four courses, and every course was delicious. There were two of us dining and we ordered different items. Everyone was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the beetroot chop and the chocolate tart.
The food is incredible. Definitely worthy of the star. However, felt like I was being constantly upsold on options the whole meal. It's already expensive to go, please don't make us feel guilty for not spending more.

An absolutely wonderful experience and amazing food!! The ambiance is gorgeous, the service was spectacular and the food was some of the best I've had in the DC food scene recently. Will definitely be back!
True to Indian flavors, but so much more. Traditional dishes in bites. The depth of complex flavors and textures are amazing though. We loved each course and wine pairing. Refined decor is elegant yet comfortable.
The food was excellent. The blend of the flavours and the different spices was great. It was a wonderful meal with some spice and flavor but w/o impacting your palate. Truly the best Indian Cuisine in DC,
We had an amazing experience at Rania. Everyone on the team went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated and we truly appreciated them. Each dish was exquisite and we will definitely be back next time we are in town.
Excellent Indian food. The chef has created Indian fusion food to cater to a heterogenous crowd - while miraculously maintaining the Indian ness of the dishes. Each creation is unique - not to be found in other Indian restaurants. Service is excellent - they pay constant attention to the clients needs thru out the dinner. Ambience is quiet. Decor is opulent. I give them 5 stars. Wish it was a suburban restaurant as we never make downtown trips just to dine.
