TallBoy - A Neighborhood Joint

I accidentally showed up here for wings on Bingo night and Michael was on one! He was absolutely hilarious and completely in control of the room. The whole place felt like a live sitcom. My buddy and I just came for wings and a few drinks, but I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that hard at a bar. Great energy, great crowd, great night.

Great place. They offer a shot, a beer and a scratcher for $7! Wings are good too.

Either the best or second best wings I have ever had, I almost cried over how delicious the lemon pepper ones were. The worst thing about this place is also one of the best things - their beer selection changes so often that they don't always have the same thing you had last time and liked, but it both allows and forces you to try new things when you inevitably go back. Make this a stop on your next DC trip or night out when you need food that just makes you happy.

Tallboy is exactly what you want in a bar. It’s laid-back, welcoming, and has overall good vibes. The highlight of my visit was the service. Jordan, the bartender, was fantastic—super quick with the drinks and just as friendly as could be. He kept the bar moving smoothly while still taking the time to chat and make everyone feel at home. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and even better people. Definitely my go-to spot in Washington from now on!

Tall Boys is a local gem. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back with a cold beer or a well-made mixed drink, enjoy good music, and have real conversations. It’s just far enough off the main drag that you don’t run into the pretentious crowd, but it’s still local enough that the bartenders might actually remember your name. Solid spot all around.

A bar I'd love to come back to to watch a football game. Enjoyed the IPA from New Haven, CT. The decor was retro and fitting for a local bar.

This place still has a Juke box! One of the only spots left in the city that still has a juke box, and it rules. Also, Sara is the best!

Wouldn’t give us food

Tall boy has a wide selection of beer and wing flavors. Definetly checkout their Memphis hot and Old Bay dry rubs. We also got their kbbq battered wings and it was delicious. Only downside is the quality of the chicken itself. Chicken was a bit too dry on some of the wings - but otherwise I'd come again.
