They made me uncomfortable the whole time I was waiting on my order 3 people including one of the managers came up to me within a couple of minutes and asked me if I had a order like they were trying to rush me out but it was very busy so I was not rushing them , there were other people waiting as well and they did not have 3 people walking up to them in a short amount of time to ask them are they waiting on a order once they gave me my order my food was cold and the lady with glasses had a issue with reheating it and they didn’t even warm it back up it was still cold, this is sad because i really liked tatte and i never experienced a situation like this prior and i am a black woman supporting a restaurant that has employees that are very discriminatory I didn’t appreciate the poor service that I got from the 3 employees.

Wow, the shakshuka was surprisingly bad. Watery, too cold to cook the eggs so the whites were 100% raw and unappetizing, and tasted unseasoned. The bread on the side came burnt. Not worth the price, and I’m disappointed I ate here over better places in the area.

The service here was EXCELLENT!! Me and my boyfriend’s order was taken by Thomas I believe and he took FANTASTIC care of us! I have traveled up from Georgia and he was very considerate and asking about us and making us feel so welcome! I would honestly return just to see him BUT their food and drink was also exquisite and so beautiful to look at (and eat hehe). I highly recommend stopping by and if so give Thomas a hello!

Loved coming here! The food was good, the people were friendly, especially Mr. Thomas who provided us with special attention and good pastries. Love the environment and the look of the place is so nice to just sit and talk. Would definitely recommend you come here and enjoy their food and amazing coffee!

We ordered three mini cakes and they were all spot on. The tiramisu was classic and well-balanced, the raspberry cake with cream was fresh and delicious, and the chocolate cake was rich and smooth without being too heavy.
The smoked salmon dish was also a standout—crispy, golden, and full of flavor.
Big thanks to Thomas for the great service—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Would definitely come back!

While traveling, we always try to find our “go-to” coffee shop, and on our first day in DC we hopped around exploring different spots. One place truly stood out, Tatte.
Tatte has a creative and delicious coffee and food menu that we absolutely loved. As a family, it’s not always easy to find a place where everyone is excited about the options, but here everyone was happy, from breakfast to coffee. We enjoyed it so much that we even stopped back at the end of the day for more coffee and dessert.
The best part of the experience was being greeted and taken care of by “Thomas the coffee legend.” The whole family instantly loved him and trusted every one of his recommendations he made the experience even more special.
A great experience all the way around during our December visit. Definitely a must-stop in DC
