tatte loyalist. anything you get is good: a sweet tooth might like the kouign-amann or a beloved pear tart tatin. a verified savory girl like myself will always order the boureka.
The food was delicious, we were 9 people, everything we ordered was delicious. They don't accept reservations, the lines to order are long but the wait is worth it.
I don't give it 5 stars because the bathrooms were disgusting.

Where Style Meets Flavor
Nestled in the heart of downtown, Tatte is a haven for anyone seeking a chic and tranquil atmosphere paired with exceptional culinary offerings. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an ambiance that feels both sophisticated and inviting. Soft lighting, minimalist decor with earthy tones, and an array of lush plants create an environment that’s perfect for unwinding or getting some work done.
The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a mix of artisanal coffees, teas, and delectable pastries. The signature lavender latte is a must-try—its floral notes perfectly balanced with the richness of the espresso. For food, their avocado toast is elevated to gourmet status with the addition of truffle oil and edible flowers, making it both Instagram-worthy and delicious.
Service needs improvement . The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and their knowledge of the menu shows their passion for quality and customer satisfaction.
Whether you’re here for a quiet morning, a casual meeting, or an afternoon treat, Tatte delivers on every front. It’s not just a café; it’s an experience. Highly recommended for those who appreciate a perfect blend of style, comfort, and flavor.

Tatted Bakery is one of the best breakfast restaurants in DC. The plates are Hugh and we could enjoy the view of the city.

Staff was rude and policy is to not sell anything as a side. In order to get eggs for our 8 month old we had to order an expensive egg dish with cured ham. All the tables that were available had dirty dishes on it that we had to bus ourselves even though the staff stood around talking with each other. Great looking space and food is pretty decent.

I don’t know what’s in the water today, but the staff are in a seriously negative mood! The one on the register is obviously had it with people about attempting to be somewhat helpful. Didn’t want to be there. They went off to get the manager to find out about adding an egg and the manager said I will not sell you an egg. At which point I finally walked out.
The sad thing is I was going to leave Buying quite a few pastries breakfast and to take away dinner and now I just don’t ever care to come back.

Order: Vanilla Latte, Jelly donut
Positives: Enjoyed my morning coffee and side pastry. My favorite part is actually the jelly in the donut. It doesn’t have a Dunkin’ donut jelly taste, it’s more of a natural sweet strawberry filling that is very enjoyable.
Negative: I struggled to find seating. I had to wipe down my own table with a napkin and had to cut my experience short, as a mother with a newborn child asked me for the table.
I was glad to have helped her but it would have been nice to stay for an extra 15/20 mins and do a light reading.
Overall, I would return although I’m not convinced the issue around seating would not be any different.
