Stopped by Tatte Bakery and tried their special Honey Baklava Latte, breakfast, and the Pistachio Croissant. The croissant was absolutely amazing — buttery, flaky, and full of pistachio flavor! The latte was nice and unique, though I wish it had just a bit more of that baklava sweetness. Overall, a lovely spot for breakfast or coffee — cozy vibe and delicious treats.

My family loves this bakery and the employees here. Mr.Thomas, who took our order, was very welcoming and friendly. The aesthetics of the shop only added to my liking. I recommend stopping by this charming cafe !

It’s one of those places you keep coming back to and not only for the delicious coffee and amazing food, but above all for the exceptional service.

I got a Mocha, breakfast sandwich and the hot oatmeal. The coffee was great. Not overly sweet or syrupy. The breakfast sandwich was delicious the bacon and cheese on it was fantastic. The oatmeal was amazing with the blueberries and apricot. 😙👌

I went on a Sunday at 11:00 am. The line was long, but luckily we found a spot at the bar. You order first, pay, sit down, and then they bring your food. I highly recommend the Lamb Meatball & Labneh Shakshuka, it’s delicious! Plus, the bread they serve with it isn’t just any bread, it’s really good! The yogurt with fruit and granola was also delicious. I had a hot chai latte and a cold one, both were good. The house breakfast plate, the donut and the pastry we ordered were just ok. Also, it would be nice if drinks meant to be enjoyed there were served in cups instead of disposable glasses. The service was great despite the crowd, but the bathroom was terrible, they really need to improve that.

I have had overall good experiences at Tattes in and around DC. This one is very busy, but large, so we were able to find seating easily. It took a little while for our food and drinks to arrive, which we were fine with. Especially since we were there during the lunch rush. May not be the best option if you need to get in/out quickly. I had the lamb kebab pita sandwich. It was tasty and filling!

How do you run out of grilled cheese? Expensive sandwiches - nothing special. Hectic.

I had a terrible experience at this business and I do not recommend you spend your money here. This restaurant is deceptive as it appears to be an elevated cafe experience but it operates like a greasy spoon diner.
A nagging desire for capuccino and a sweet pastry led me to Tatte. The cashier was pleasant and rapidly served my slice of carrot cake. I informed the cashier that I planned to dine-in. However, I was only given a fork and a plate. I had to ask for a napkin. The cashier mumbled something and pointed towards the far corner of the pastry display case. I was instructed to get the napkins myself.
I sat down and waited for 10 minutes or more. It took so long to get my coffee that I finished the cake without a hot beverage. That delay ruined my experience. After looking around the cafe, I noticed that while it was fancy and spacious there was only one coffee station operated by one barista. No wonder service was slow! When my cappuccino finally arrived, the server provided me a cup and saucer without a spoon or stirrer! So, I had to get up, again, to search for a spoon. That was absolutely disruptive and negligent. Moreover, these oversights undermined the sophisticated ambiance and dine-in experience the owners want you to believe you will have. Worst of all, the coffee lacked complexity, so the coffee flavor profile was flat. A waste of my time, money, and expectations.
Clearly, this cafe is punching above its weight. I give it an “A” for being aspirational, but it gets an “L” for loss of credibility because it uses decor and product placement to distract consumers from its inefficiencies. Fifteen dollars for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake (not to be consumed at the same time) is an excessive price for a pedestrian experience. Don’t waste your money or time at this cat fish of a cafe.

This is a terrific place for pastries and morning coffee. The Morning Buns are perfectly crispy and with what I think might be a hint of orange and anise. The brownies are also really good -- that perfect mix of heavy but still a little like cake; my favorite commercial form anywhere. Drinks are reliably good (thank you for a few non-coffee options!), and service is always upbeat. BUT -- I need to mention some of the amazing stuff further down the menu. Go beyond the pastries. The avocado toast is a superb version of the dish, but the corn and spinach shakshuka is honestly a bit transcendent, with an almost pesto treatment of the spinach in the middle of a delicious corn surround -- the brightness of tomato and some Italian parsley rounds it out. The farro bowl is also amazing -- with crunchy and salty bites and a perfectly runny egg. Don't forget the cavatelli -- also great in its own right with zucchini and tomato jam. So: the breakfast stuff is reliably strong. But what makes this place stand out is a menu that has a lot more depth to it. I know there are a lot of them, but sampling across the various outlets, the quality is reliable. Great work!! Please do a few more savory pastries outside the summer season. Only three stars on atmosphere because the one by Foggy Bottom gets super noisy. Throw up an acoustic tile or two, please!
