Tea is great as usual. Tried the Thai chicken curry for lunch and while it’s not an authentic version (which I don’t think they intend it to be), it tasted great and it’s one of the most unique Thai curries I’ve had with grilled/smoked veggies in it.

I had the Ochazuke and the Matcha affogato, both really delicious!! The place also has a very nice and peaceful atmosphere.

Each of us enjoyed the salmon Bento Box, which came with a large portion of perfectly cooked salmon, 4 pieces of sweet potato, broccoli flowerets, two seaweed leaves and a mound of rice topped with savory spices. The ginger limeade was refreshing on a very hot day. The place was busy but the folks kept the tables bussed and clean.

Located about a block from the White House, it's a cute, low-key place to grab a quick bite to eat and even hang out for a while. It has a welcoming, calming, chill teahouse vibe. There is a small menu of really well put together Asian dishes. If the weather allows, there is outdoor seating.

The Chai is my latest obsession! Stopped in while visiting the White House and was blown away. The food was freshly prepared, hot and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely frequent this eatery if I lived locally. For now, I am ordering their Chai online.
My 7yo daughter asked me to leave 5 starts for this place. Udon Noodle Soup with Spinach and Ginger was outstanding, my picky 7yo eater ate it all.

Great spot for tea and healthy food, lovely presentation bento box. I had the lightly spicy vegan bean cakes today--Delicious and filling. Incredible selection of teas and tea accessories. Plesant staff. Will take friends there! Great location, tasteful casual decor, lots of windows.

First time having Ochazuke in the USA!!!It's like a twist of the original formula (usually there won't be cilantro...), but I still love it!I had it with salmon, and I was satisfied ✨ The tea soup and rice combination is a blessing to a cold day, just that please put less wasabi in my bowl haha.We also had Okonomiyaki with brisket. It was flavorful, but didn't match in my opinion ?(like eating two dishes)Still tasty, although I would try it with other ingredients next time.It is a small restaurant with fair prices. Would recommend people come in and enjoy a casual Japanese-spirit food with some awesome tea.

Just like their sister location in Penn Quarter, this Teaism location offers great teas in a space close to the north side of the White House. I do appreciate the addition of outdoor dining space, and they have a cozier interior. The menus are the same, so I would recommend their bento boxes.

The Korean Beef Brisket Sandwich is absolutely delicious! And it’s huge. Chocolate cookie is also great, would love to come back.
