I would give 5 stars but he forgot my chicken Patti.
With that being said, excellent roti and curry. Probably the best roti in the DMV.

I wasn't told about additional price for using credit card instead of cash. To add yes everywhere in the world merchants are charged a fee for card use but not all merchants pass it along to the customers and also as I stated it was NOT on the machine when I visited that using a credit card would cost more and it's sad you take over a year to respond. Thank you

Halal! Got the jerk chicken with Chana & paratha. Absolutely delicious & a little spicy. The woman behind the counter was so sweet.
I’m Guyanese and I absolutely loved every bite of this. I got the doubles, chicken doubles, oxtails and buss up shut skin which I highly recommend. The buss up shut skin was flaky, buttery, warm, crispy and delicious. I tried the medium heat doubles, which was very spicy, so I would suggest mild but the owner makes his own peppers and creates everything by hand including the juices which is why it is pricey here. I tried both the passion fruit and mango pineapple juices are like tasting the islands. Pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

I drive 45 minutes to this place. Ordered food and was so excited to finally have a taste of home. The place is quaint and unassuming across a busy street. I ordered paratha roti. Curry goat and a peardrax. I was so happy cuz the roti was soo buttery and fluffy.
But the goat was literally 4-5 pieces max and the rest was melted into the channa. Then what really turned me off was I asked for a side of salt fish the lady said “we don’t sell sides of salt fish it’s too expensive. You would have to purchase an order and it’s $38.00”. Now looking back I should have just ordered a bake and salt fish.
Lastly, she just had an attitude most for the time I was talking to her. Her partner was nice but honestly I didn’t feel welcomed so I won’t be returning.
The best thing short by 45 minute drive was the antique store across the street what a wonderful man! To check him out.

This place is legit. The nicest people own it, nothing more to say. Oxtail and stewed chicken are my favorites. It's easily two meals in each order.
Or one if you plan on immediately falling asleep.

Restaurantji Recommends
Walked in and was kindly greeted by someone very nice. Told them it was my first time there and trying trini food and went with whatever recommendation she gave me. I believe it was a curry goat and potato wrap. I also ordered some vegetable fritters I saw they had advertised and a passion fruit drink which was homemade. The drink was amazing perfectly sweetened the fritters were very pleasant and had a slight sweetish chili kind of flavor. The curry goat wrap weighed like 5 pounds it was so heavy and was very rich in flavor. I’m Pakistani and I have to say I think they may use even more spices than we do it was such a robust level of flavors and their spicy sauce it came with was very spicy in the best ways possible. I hate when people advertise spicy food and it’s not that hot or it’s just a bunch of dry chili spices you can tell that the levels of spices are cooked into every ingredient in the dish. This place is awesome and I would definitely recommend. Especially to all the desi people looking to try something new but familiar.
