They have improved the pricing a bit on the Roti’s. Authentic and absolutely delicious. Menu has grown and the food is always freshly prepared. Friendly staff. They are proud of the food they serve and it shows!

Best Caribbean food I’ve had since I left New York! And the customer service is on point. If you want authentic roti, curry, etc., with huge portions and a nice vibe check this spot out.

I don't usually leave reviews but I had to for this amazing Trini restaurant! I also don't understand why there is a single negative review because this classic, mom & pop Caribbean restaurant (so rare these days, we have to support !!! ) is a TRUE GEM in DC and is nothing short of... AMAZING!!!! My mom is half Trinidadian and it has been way too long since we had a real, authentic, delicious roti and other Trini food. And wow, were we impressed with Teddy's Roti Shop's food!!! :)We were immediately greeted by Hannah who is so genuinely nice and sweet, which is also hard to find these days - real customer service. She was warm, friendly, patient and took my order and my parent's order with a smile. Thank you for your hospitality, Hannah! :) Love the old school, no frills vibe because that usually means the food is good and there are no gimmicks. Feels like you're walking down memory lane. The restaurant is clean and well kept. A few tables and chairs but you come here for the food, right???Now on to the roti..............THE DOUGH ALONE is enough for a 5 star review!!!! The roti dough was soooooo soft and just perfection. I got boneless chicken for mine and the ratio of curried potatoes, juicy chicken even for white meat, and the flavor was just delicious!!! I've had roti that was dry and just nasty and this was NOT that! I'm not exaggerating. It was absolutely amazing. We all devoured our food with our eyes closed and a smile on our faces. And the cabbage????? lol. SOOOOO flavorful just for some simple cabbage! Devoured that, too!!! And you have to get the chicken and beef patties! Omg! There is curried potato in the chicken patty - enough said!!Run, don't walk to Teddy's Roti Shop!!! If you want to help support one of the few, rare, classic Caribbean restaurants left in DC, please do so because it's sad to see so many of them go. Delicious, delicious, delicious Trini food and happy, warm hospitality - this is your spot! Thanks again, Hannah and to all of you at Teddy's! We will be back soon and often!! :)

The “callaloo” was just puréed spinach not good at all. The curry shrimp and buss up was ok def. The bake and saltfish is good, expensive but it’s like double the normal

Delicious food! I’ve been craving roti and doubles and noticed this place while driving down Georgia Ave. I tried the doubles, beef patty, curry goat roti, and passion fruit juice. All delicious! I’ll take pictures next time as this time I couldn’t wait to eat.The patty was flaky and spicy. The doubles was good. The roti was huge! The goat was succulent, a little salty, but still very tasty.Overall the food was great and I’m so glad I found this place. I was also pleasantly surprised by the interior, it smelled great and had a warm ambiance. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the outside but I was not disappointed. Looking forward to my next visit.

We loved it so much we went back on our last day to carry it on the road with us!!The space is tight. Only a few tables. But everyone was pleasant, even the other patrons. They got a good thing here. They should be proud.

I haven’t been here since I started keeping Kosher. I was last here in 2011. I actually love the roti here better than Caribbean Palace. Not throwing shade, although more expensive and further away than CP, this is the place I preferred to come. Always the same, I can load up my roti with vegan options, and I didn’t have to worry about being hungry afterwards as my stomach is very hard to become full with my fast metabolism. If I wasn’t keeping Kosher I would still get my roti from here. Was my favorite place to grab my lunch during lunch break.Vegetarian options: A vegetarian will eat well here and would leave very satisfied. As vegan, I always did. The only reason, I stopped going, is because I converted to to a being a religious Jew which included keeping Kosher.
