This is such a great place for HH with your friends or colleagues. Over the summer sitting outside is so enjoyable and throughout the year it's the perfect place to have events!!!

I've been to the Admiral twice now with a large group, both times were great experiences. I reccommend it if you are looking to book an event, the indoor area is very spacious. Also the old bay chicken bites were delicious!

I hosted a group event here to watch a football game. We were provided with a private room that included plenty of seating as well as our own bartender. Food and drinks were outstanding and well-priced, and the atmosphere was excellent also. I and my organization certainly have The Admiral in mind for future events.

Update: management doubled down and refused to acknowledge their mistake. They assert that another group was there before us, which is false. They lied to my face inside the bar, and are again lying here. Watch your games elsewhere, these folks are washed up frat bros looking for a fight.
The Admiral is listed as an official Penn State watch location. I’m an alum and took my group of four to watch this afternoon’s game. We arrived early and were the first patrons seated in the front bar area. The bartender confirmed we were there to watch Penn State. Shortly after the game began, the general manager changed the main screen to the Texas game. When we requested to have the Penn State game restored, the general manager stated that another group—who he claimed had arrived earlier—had requested the channel change. This was inaccurate, as that group arrived after us. I asked that he verify the ticket times, but instead he suggested that we relocate to a different section of the bar.
This was disappointing, as The Admiral is listed as an official Penn State watch location, yet our group was not accommodated. Additionally, when that other table became verbally confrontational, the general manager sided with them rather than addressing the situation. We chose to close our tab and leave, unable to watch the game.
Be careful with this bar, management is ill-prepared to handle feedback. If they are an official PSU watch location, then PSU should take priority, especially they arrive first. Management was disrespectful and lied in order to make their argument.

The Admiral is a fun and casual place to enjoy food, drinks, post work happy hours, and even work happy hours.
Their events team is great and they're responsive and helpful, making planning super easy. It's easy to reserve the spaces for no fees/minimums and there's very minimal paperwork. Highly recommend! Giving five stars here for this review because it's a mainstay for me and because their team is great.
The sidebar was available last minute, which was great, but it's also the most awkward one due to its placement near the kitchen doors and between two dining areas (don't recommend vs other options if they're available). The outdoor patio in nice weather is fabulous. Their food is great quality bar food/pub vibe food. I rarely give food five stars (just to caveat).

Matt the bartender was extremely personable. The food at the Admiral is outstanding, and should definitely be on your short list for your events! Can’t wait to book another party here soon!

Truly the best place to host an event. Every bartender was attentive and accommodating, and Mackenzie, the event manager, made planning so easy. I didn’t do any heavy lifting, and my vision came to life. The events were not only incredible, but all the staff were amazing. 100/10 recommend!
