The experience here at Tabard Inn was fantastic. Great food, attentive staff and the perfect selection of dishes. Our problem arrived with the check. I have been charged twice (because the first time the amount was wrong and tried to cancel and recharge again correctly) with two different credit cards. I don't know whose fault was, but not mine. The fact now is that I have to challenge the expense with VISA, on monday and don't know if it will work.
We really enjoyed meeting our DC friend here for brunch when traveling from out of the area. We were seated in a small room with only one other table being served while we were there - so it really felt like we had the place to ourselves. You could feel the long and loving history of this place in the care everyone took. The food was good and actually too much food for one meal. Will definitely return when we are back in the area.
Made a Sunday brunch reservation based upon convenience of location and so was unaware of the history of the Inn. Loved the ambiance and the authentic inn feel of the place. Lots of nooks and crannies. Service was excellent. Food was standard, good. Good place to visit for brunch.
