This place was just ok. We were seated quickly even though it was a busy Friday night. It is extremely loud in there, and food took quite a while to come out. Service was fine but nothing over the top great. The burger was a bit dry. Not a bad experience but nothing the best either.

I stopped by The Capital Burger and kicked things off with the warm pretzel appetizer, which came with a creamy cheese dipping sauce. The pretzel had the perfect balance of soft and chewy, and the cheese sauce was rich and flavorful. What really stood out to me was that there was plenty of sauce — enough to enjoy with every bite (a small but huge win compared to spots that skimp on dips).
For my entrée, I went with their signature Capital Burger, cooked medium-rare, and added bacon and an egg for that perfect finishing touch. When the plate arrived, it looked fantastic — juicy patty, melty cheese, and the bacon and egg stacked beautifully on top. Every bite was packed with flavor. You could tell the beef was fresh and high-quality, and everything from the bun to the toppings worked together perfectly.
Overall, this place lived up to the hype. Great presentation, excellent flavors, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back soon — this one’s an easy 9.5/10 for me!

She cared about my allergies, recommended great drinks, and made sure that I had an experience that is unforgettable as my first visit. She is a gem! We went twice on our trip to DC within three days. The first to trip was definitely 5 stars for the entire family and the kids begged to go back. The second trip the kids didn't like their food and my wife returned her sandwich which was essentially just a streak on bread- so we spend $114 on essentially one adult meal, two kids meals and one beer. The service both visits was wonderful.

Wonderful experience. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We ate early so it wasn’t crowded. The burgers were excellent! My husband had the blue cheese truffle burger and said it was one of the best burgers he ever tasted. Kale salad was a fresh and tasty side dish. Great service!

I couldn’t decide were to go for dinner after a day of conference food and figured how can a burger not deliver. So I ventured over to The Capital Burger to see what the 4.5* ratings were all about. The place was busy for a Wednesday but I was able to sit immediately at the bar. I decided on their signature burger of the businesses name. It certainly sounds good by the menu description. I paired it up with the smoked Gouda cheese fries. The burger was cooked well and all seemed fresh to order. For me, the burger just didn’t deliver that “I’ve got to come back” feeling. The cheese fries didn’t work well together. I don’t know if the Gouda wasn’t made into a proper sauce or it’s the symptom of production line cooking. Again I was left disappointed relative to my expectations based on ratings.
