Breakfast was way overpriced and the service was poor. The hollandaise sauce had no flavor and the gravy tasted like bepto. Our server did not check on us once. For $45 for two people I expected a higher quality of food and service.

I ordered the egg sandwich and short stack of pancakes. The English muffin for the egg sandwich was stale. The cheese used was the fake plastic kind (cheese that’s not really cheese just filler) and the eggs had no flavor. The pancakes were not warm, nor were they fluffy. I also had a direct view in the kitchen and saw none of the staff wearing gloves including the gentleman who was cutting and platting the avacoda with his bare hands. Oh and the towel they used to clean the counters, they were also using to clean the plates that were being plated before serving them to the clients.

My family and I had a great lunch here. The food and service was terrific, we had an awesome experience. This place had such good music and a relaxed vibe that made us feel like we were right at home. The food was so good that we had no left overs. We recommend the grits! Will def come back when we’re in the area again.Kid-friendliness: The made my son a fresh cookies and cream milkshake that was enough for all 4 of us. It was yummy and topped with lots of whip cream.

What we ordered: biscuits and gravy, chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes, hashbrown bowl, ham breakfast sandwhichThis is a great no-frills tasty breakfast joint in Adams Morgan. Anybody will find something they like on the menu. What I loved the most about this food was that it was not overly salted! I don't cook with alot of salt and so usually at places like diners, they will add too much salt for my taste. But not here. They seasoned everything perfectly without making me down glasses of water.Overall, the food was so good and gave us the energy needed to explore the area.The service was a bit slow but that's ok. We were in no rush. All that really matters was the food anyways and we left happy.Oh also, they don't have any fancy coffees. All you can get a regular or decaf brewed coffee. Like I said, no frills but worth the visit.
