It was our first out of 2 nights in DC and I wanted to have high-quality, memorable, delicious food and that's what The Duck & the Peach provided! The ambiance felt artsy and people were dressed casually but the food was fancy and expensive. My partner and I got the duck feast and everything was tasty, particularly the duck. We are duck lovers who eat duck a lot especially from Chinese restaurants and this duck was so tender and the skin was crispy the way I like it. We also had the mint ice cream bar for dessert which was super unique, almost savory and wrapped in an edible covering but I couldn't place what the covering was made out of (maybe white chocolate)? It was an expensive meal but we also took home left overs and we would come here again!

Our recommendation would be not to plan a business dinner here as the meat entrees or rotisseries are all for 2 or more people and sharing could be awkward. We enjoyed the duck and it made a nice fried rice the next day with leftover duck. We could have fed 4 with one duck, The asparagus risotto was lovely too.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Food was decent. Family brunch experience: Pancake was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great balance of sweet and salty. Crispy thick cut bacon also a plus. French toast was ok as were duck fat fries. Decent portions - enough to satisfy of not enough to have for lunch next day.

This spot is located right across the street from Eastern Market and is a nice spot to stop for a sit down meal when shopping the market. The open space concept is really beautiful, clean, and modern. I would recommend a reservation, as we stopped in on a Saturday mid-day and we were turned away indicating we needed a reservation (even though many tables seemed to be open), but we did find a spot at the seat-yourself bar so we sat there instead! Bar service was similar to hostess - indifferent about us, seemed more interested in talking to her coworkers than taking our orders or checking in on us. We ordered the duck fat potatoes which were the star of the meal. Cooked to crisp perfection, they were the perfect salty crunchy bite. The chicken salad sandwich was unique. I liked the grated tomato, but the bread fell flat for me and there were a lot of bones in my chicken, which made it a little tricky to eat. The chorizo Benedict was really tasty and enjoyable! Overall, it's pretty expensive for very average food in my opinion. The meal was good, but nothing to write home about. There's also a 22% tip included - I'm seeing this at a lot of DC restaurants now. I am happy to oblige, but now I see why service at the duck and the peach is no good, they don't have to earn it :(

We had drinks and Appetizers at the bar, would recommend! The passion fruit smash cocktail was sweet and delicious. The potato chips and jamon & cheese tartine apps were great. The service was quick and friendly. Plus it was very clean with great decor.

I give the service, atmosphere, and food all high marks. We were seated promptly and our waitress was great. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tables are nicely spaced and we had a sense of privacy. We ordered the duck feast- rotisserie duck, cooked carrots and a rice dish. The duck was outstanding and the supporting cast was good. If you've never had rotisserie duck I recommend you give it a go.

The wait was long even with a reservation but the staff was friendly and the food was great.

Service was great but food was horrible. Not what is expected based on menu. Got a plate of plain pancakes and it was a pile of soggy ick. Photo attached.

Some establishments should not foray into dishes from different cultures until mastered. The new menu from DP heavily Mexican influenced has a lot to account for its shortcomings. Items offered such as chix chilaquiles and huevos rancheros come more like either an over mixed sweet green salad or a heavy soup covered with toppings to hide the fact that, the dish is just soup w toppings. Mexican food, albeit this is not, is quite sophisticated and elegant. Lost was this in these dishes, where it felt more like cafeteria fare schlopped unto your tray during lunch hour. The chix salad sandwich however was at another level. That was prepared excellently w pickled red onions and tomato spread genuinely flavoring the savory rotisserie chicken just right w their pan de cristal. It was refreshing, delicious and perfect for the coming spring/ summer season. Their bloody Mary’s are a work of art, brined to perfection.

This place is busy so I recommend making a reservation. The food was great and our server Jasmine was thorough with helping me as a first timer. The pastries were delicious. She said they change them every week, compliments to the chef for being able to come up with so many great ideas. The citrus milk punch was interesting and worked well. Spinach omelette was good but it definitely lacked meat, glad that my server recommended getting bacon on the side. I can’t wait to try them for dinner.

We had a reunion of friends gather here for dinner and it was delightful. The food was remarkable - small plates were sharable for two as starters, and the Rotisari items allowed all six of us to taste. The service was excellent, the ambiance open, airy and stylish. It was quiet enough to hold conversations, but not too quiet. Can't wait until our next trip to DC and will absolutely return!

First of all, the staff is amazing. We were served by Betsy and Sophie, their sommelier, who were both so very pleasant and genuine. It really made our experience there feel at home, adding to the already homey aesthetic vibe of the place. The duck - unbelievable. Never had such good duck in my life. Also, toffee dessert with dessert wine (suggested by Sophie) - freakin awesome. We had this pan de cristal bread that apparently is impossible to make and you can barely find it outside of literally Spain, and their chef conquered it. Excellent. And they gave it to us with buffalo butter, which I didn't know existed. This place was just all around probably one of my favorite spots I've been to. Very elevated restaurant, high class dishes, with a uniquely comfortable ambience that no doubt had in large part to do with the staff. Thank you ladies !!!!

Nope- this was no good for us. Here are the reasons why: *The hostess, a young girl in round glasses seemed apathetic about taking a walk in. Didn't make an effort to seat us, no sense of urgency. First told us they were sold out & didn't offer a bar/community seat until WE asked her. * Our server was not in the mood to take us- not rude but not friendly. Just basic in every way. We asked for recommendations, which she gave. But they were not good at all. --Duck Carnitas: bland duck, flimsy corn tortilla (should have been 2 per taco as they collapsed), no crunchy edges of meat, super strong onion but no other distinctive flavors. Basically an onion taco w other stuff. --Burger- worst burger of my life. ZERO seasoning on anything. Bland bread, bland meat, shredded iceberg (bland AF-not dressed in any way, after thought), pickles on only one side of bun, fried egg w ZERO salt. Like they forgot about the basics of salt and pepper. __Duckfat potatoes-ZERO salt, old spices (check the date of your spices), needed 2-3 min more to cook. Zero evidence of duckfat flavor. --Bacon-standard and not crunchy at all lots of grease left over. Meh. I never leave any bacon on my plate & we left it. --Oat Milk Cappuccino-served luke warm, zero sugar came w & when we asked for it, no spoon either - stirred w knife. Server seemed annoyed when I got up to ask for salt/pepper/spoon. She didn't come back to check on us for a long time. She finally came over & asked us if we wanted to order something sweet-not even noticing (but obviously ignoring) our full plates of food. Let her know we didn't care for some things due to kitchen not seasoning food properly. We got an eye roll & an Oooohkeyyyy. She took the food away & never came back - she gets zero stars for crappy attitude (take a day off sis , obviously you need) One extra star was for super kind & engaging manager who came right over, took care of us & made up for lack of service and meh food. Admitted coffee machine broke & they reheated (not well) old espresso that was sitting around. Would NOT RECOMMEND
