Some of the best bourbon and drinks in DC! Great staff!

Good food, but management needs serious improvement.

I came in tonight for dinner and had high hopes. The food was great, flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was solid too.

But what really stood out was the bartender. He was friendly, upbeat, and made everyone at the bar feel welcome. It was clear he genuinely cared about creating a great experience.

Unfortunately, that all got overshadowed when I saw the manager come out and start yelling at him, right in front of customers. Apparently the bartender had taken a reservation and forgot to write it down. He even apologized and explained he was just trying to bring in more business.

The manager didn’t care. He kept going, and honestly, it was uncomfortable to watch.

I get that mistakes happen, and it’s fair to address them. But yelling at an employee who’s clearly doing his best and doing a great job otherwise is unacceptable.

I hope the ownership takes a closer look at how their team is being treated. Because no matter how good the food is, I’d think twice before coming back if that’s how they run things behind the scenes.

Treat your staff better. They are the reason people come back.

I have been going here for years after playing softball and kickball. There's a deal where volo teams get a ticket to bogo pichers of beer. The other team gave me their ticket because I was biking there and was going to buy the beers ahead of time. Out of nowhere the owner swipes the ticket out of my hand and said each team only gets one ticket now Im schooling you. I explained about the other team and he continued to just say each team gets one ticket and i'm schooling you. Absolutely bizarre. Will never spend a cent there again ✌️.

We previously played flip cup here after the Volo kickball leagues, but apparently they kept raising prices and refused to donate a portion of the proceeds to charity so now we have to walk all the way to whitlow at the wharf which is somehow even worse than the exchange and their unfortunate dedication to the kids.

arts and crafts!!!! colers and more

Had a few drinks. Guy behind bar was so friendly. He was leaving for the day but took time to take us to the roof , the view was amazing for our first visit to DC

This place is the best place in all of DC! I’m telling you. The food is AMAZING! The atmosphere is excellent! The service is TOP NOTCH! George and his crew are super friendly, genuine, and caring. If you’re looking for the best place to hang out and have a beer and enjoy some awesome food and take in the atmosphere, this is the place. Thank you, George, for an awesome experience.

Wouldn't serve food while open however the bartender was super accommodating and explained a private party was shutting down all service. Gave us drinks til we had to go. Overall, service was great.

A friendly neighborhood pub in the heart of downtown DC. The broiled Crab Cake Sandwich ($22) with fries was good, and it was a great place to sit and relax.

If you are looking for a place that has nice employees and attentive service do not go here. I had the most awful experience here this past week by the people who worked behind the bar. They refused to serve my friends yet we were visibly sitting at the bar for at least an hour. They looked every direction but ours and when I finally caught the eye of someone he put his hand up and dismissed me. There is no organization of who will help you behind the bar and it seems the preference was to not serve black customers. I am shocked at this experience and will never be back. I asked a friend if they ever had a good experience they said no which shows this is a pattern. Do not go here. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Just happened upon this spot after visiting MLK statue and Whitehouse. Just missed the lunch crowd and food was absolutely fabulous. I had cheesecake and wife had wings. Food was excellent service was excellent, and price were reasonable.

Enjoyed our lunch. Cool little bar restaurant. Everyone seems chill.
My only critique is that I had to stand and wait to be sat ( not busy) and waited to be served.
Still, the food was good, and we enjoyed just sitting and chilling.

Vegetarian options: Veggie burger was good.
