The food and service at the Henri are always great. It seems to be an under appreciated place that deserve more attention. It's location makes it a great place to eat before a show, as well as an excellent place for a lunch date, or after work dinner date.
Three of us went to the The Henri for Restaurant Week. It was a bit hard to find since the entrance is on 13th St, NW just south of F St, rather than on Pennsylvania Ave which is the posted address. For appetizers, the shrimp garlic butter was excellent. Three large, plump and flavorful shrimp with a dollup of tomato sauce and 2 pieces of bread. We went for New Year’s Eve dinner before the Flaming Lips show at the Anthem. They had a jazz duo playing music and that helped set the atmosphere. The service was top notch, but relaxed. The food and cocktails were the best I have had in DC. We enjoyed variations of the Manhattan cocktails. I had the specials (lobster thermador and chateaubriand). They were really great. I highly recommend this excellent restaurant which serves excellent food with a really nice staff.
