I thought the food and generally the service was excellent, couple of things that I would have expected from a Michelin rated restaurant would be that they would have scraped off the table, remove the wine glass that you weren't using, and then turned over the table faster. Dirty plates stayed on the table for quite some time. Friendliness was never an issue but having over 60% empty tables at 6:30 on a Friday night seems a bit off. Recommend the Filet!

Would highly recommend. Food service and ambience were all fantastic. There was live piano during dinner, homemade bread and a free appetizer to start.

Pretentious!! Went there tonight, party of 1, at 6:30 PM. Dining room was 95% empty. They asked me if I was staying at the hotel and when the answer was "no" they had no tables available, Whatever........

A favorite comes through yet again. Staff (at the front door, in the kitchen, and in the dining room), food, and that splendid sense of history combined to create a most satisfying experience.

On the fence. Beautiful location in a beautiful hotel. The photos are misleading only 1 table by the fireplace accurately has a view of the White House. We were seated next to it up against a wall... don't go for the view it is not as picturesque as you see. Food was in small portions, with a pretty presentation & it was quiet. $10.00 for orange juice is over the top but the price for the Oatmeal Soufflé is worth it. The food presentation, taste & staff made this place noteworthy. Reserve an early reservation & walk to the Whitehouse before tourists arrive. That was the convenience.

This restaurant is a treasure in one of the best 5 star boutique hotels in Washington DC. Customer service is #1 priority for everyone associated with this hotel and restaurant. They make you feel like the most important guest there, remembering your name and every detail of your order. There was never a moment where we were looking for someone for a water refill or anything else.

I enjoy treating myself to beautiful up-scale experiences . . . . I savored each moment and morsel - lulled by lovely melodies from the piano player which echoed the restaurant's elegant atmosphere.

We went here on NYE so it was a limited menu and $125 a person. I didn’t find the food worth that price and service was pretty slow. We sat down at 7:30 and didn’t leave til 10 for only three courses. I am also gluten free, and they were able to tell me which options were gluten free. I could have quite a few of the appetizers and entrees but none of the desserts. The waiter offered to bring me ice cream instead, but then they charged me an extra $15 for a scoop of ice cream. The atmosphere was lovely but you’ll find better food elsewhere.Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free sandwich bread they served as bread at the table, and they knew which options were gluten free.

First, business casual wear required at a minimum. Second, the service was exceptional and my party of 4 all had a great time. This is a pricey establishment but for the location and quality of food it meets the eye and mouth test. We had the ahi tuna appetizer, which was excellent, albeit the portion size being small (4 bite sized pieces). I had the scallops which were great but again, small portion size (3 large scallops) and I could have gone for one additional. The cinnamon/apple desert item was the only bummer as nobody at our table really cared for it. The other items ordered, fish and filets, were all given thumbs up. For a once in a while fancier dining experience this is a good spot to check out.
