Disappointing, Fraudulent Experience and Horrid Customer Service. Stay AWAY!
I had an unfortunate experience during my recent visit. I was charged $14.19 for a transaction that did not complete properly on their end due to a machine processing error. Although the amount was debited from my account, no receipt was generated and I did not receive my order.
When I brought this to the staff’s attention and showed proof of the charge, I requested either the food I paid for or a refund. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with, Yhony, was unprofessional, dismissive, and told me to take the issue up with my bank, refusing any assistance.
This experience reflects poorly on their customer service and accountability. I hope management takes steps to address this and train staff to handle these situations with more professionalism and care.
I still never received my money back or food.

Stopped in for lunch on a mission for a crab cake. Ordered the 2 crab cake plate with fried green tomato and coleslaw.
Crab cake - 4/5 nice size, real lump crab little fillers. Beautiful crust. Seasoned. Satisfying. Could use a little lemon juice or remoulade sauce. I didn't care for theirs- Tarter just okay
Green tomatoes-4/5 Good breading and flavor.
Coleslaw -4/5 good solid coleslaw
Roll- 4/5

A friend and I were so excited to come here for the pancakes. I had them before, a few months prior, and had been raving about them ever since. We both traveled over half an hour just to get them and were beyond disappointed after waiting in line to be told that they had run out of pancake mix and did not feel like making any more. This was 20 minutes before breakfast ended. After leaving the line dejected, we found out from the people next to us that not only had they successfully ordered pancakes, but they had ordered after us. I was looking forward to going here all week, and this experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’m unsure if I will ever return.

I was actually excited for the buckwheat blue berry pancakes. Am a big pancake fan, I don’t do cheat meals and usually stick to eating at home. So I do have high standards. These were okay. They were fine. Not bad but I have had better ones. So much better.

Absolutely delicious!!! A must try! The line might seem long but the staff is great, great service and fast as well.
My experience here was so bad, I felt compelled to leave a review. I ordered the BLT with egg and avocado, and it was truly the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The person behind the counter was also incredibly and unnecessarily rude to another patron.

Delicious blueberry pancakes. It was quite crowded Saturday noon, but we found a spot just when our food was ready.

This is a must for our family every time we come to DC. It’s located inside the eastern market and the lines can be long but so worth it. We usually grab a bar stool at the counter or a table outside then walk around and check out all the vendor offerings. Go to items are pancakes and really anything with a crab cake.
