The his is the 3rd time I have been here but the first time I had this experience.. the people working there are RACIST‼️‼️ the bartender starting arguing with me over a straw than instantly started talking about Martin Luther Kind when I mentioned not liking ppl of color… i spent too muchMoney to be treated like I wasn’t welcomed. I will NEVER return because my dollar is the same as everyone else’s I should be treated as such. I don’t understand the racist part when they are literally placed in a black community… STOP SPENDING MONEY WITH PPL WHO DONT RESPECT US

I've been to Midlands twice. First off, props for being a Michigan alum bar - Go Blue! Love the patio and chill vibe - great spot to relax while hanging out and sampling beers, etc. Solid beer selection, per my husband. Today I ordered the Strainge Beast hard kombucha which was awesome. Ginger, lemon, hibiscus. Loved it! We also needed a light midday snack so my husband got the $3 happy hour brat and I ordered hummus/pita. The hummus tasted great and was the perfect consistency. I'd love some veggies in addition to the pita bread, though. The service has been welcoming both times I've come. All in all, Midlands is a terrific neighborhood hangout spot and I'm sure to be back when visiting the area.

I have worked in the area since 2019 and never have been here until last night. I absolutely love the place. Drinks were fantastic, the service was great. The atmosphere was just awesome. I can't wait to return!

I visit this spot yesterday for the first time never again would I spend a dime. Grab a seat @ the bar Mattie was our server she was quick to ring us up told her it was our first time. Order half ? Hoagie very small for 9bucks great taste & the spinach artichoke dip I came close to choking off of. What appeared to be a piece of rubber off a kitchen tool?? I was trying to alert the manager he said hold on I got change out a keg I’m like really ok. Then after waiting 10mins he came back around how can I help u then I showed him the rubber that I spite out of my mouth after digging. Then he said oh that’s common in the kitchen well I can give u a refund & the food is on us. Then he ask for my card to put the money back then after watching him & another guy trying to figure it out he came back gave me $35 cash & my card back. Because he & the guy couldn’t figure out how to refund the card. Dogs barking inside the restaurant never told us we had to get up & get our food when the buzzer goes off this spot is trash don’t waste your $’s or your time

This place is a local gem! There always playing whatever popular sports game is happening on the TVs on the indoor and outdoor patio spaces, on good weather days it's so much fun to be outside on the picnic tables and they even have little bonfires for cozy nights outside. They have a fantastic rotating, seasonal, local tap list. I'm always happy to find at least a few things I haven't had before or something I'm excited to see again that I have it in a while. Bartenders are often really helpful with letting you try a taste of something or helping you choose based on your preferences. Lots of great food to choose from too if you're feeling like bar snacks or sandwich bites. I've been there a bunch of times before and enjoyed the nachos that are amply topped, the pretzel which is always fun to share with the group and last time I was there we both got bahn mi sandwiches which were fantastic. Can be pretty noisy during games or especially when everyone is cooped up inside on a really rough weather day. Dog friendly also which is fantastic for those of us who really love meeting doggos. Great for groups cuz you can always add people to the picnic tables!

Went for the Michigan national championship game. Bouncer was a complete jerk. Would only let his boys in. Friend had to wait in line while bouncer kept letting his boys in.Food and service was also trash.Hopefully Michigan alumni change the bar for next year

Midlands is everything you want in a beer garden. Great bar food, especially the nachos. Extensive drink list. Multiple screens to watch your big game. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Fast service. Overall, a great pick (except for the Michigan flags haha)!

This was my second time here. Bartenders are friendly and polite. I dig the atmosphere. They open late in the afternoon and have a large outdoor space with heaters, couches, tables and a smoking section as well as outlets, which was perfect for me on my laptop for a few hours. The nacho portion was larger than I expected which was awesome! With a perfect amount of toppings spread on- they did not skimp. Bathrooms are clean and I felt super comfortable hanging alone for several hours. Not sure if there is better parking near by but I took my chances parallel parking by Hook Hall.
