My husband and I were visiting Washington DC for our anniversary weekend. We chose the Monocle based on the reviews. We made reservations but really didn't need them. The staff was attentive and very knowledgeable on the menu, which is good since I have food allergies. I had the branzino which was perfect, and the potatoes that came as a side were amazing. My husband said his steak could have been seasoned a little better but some salt and pepper made it perfect. Overall...
I always love dining at The Monocle. The food is consistently high quality, the ambiance is elevated yet relaxed, and this is some of the best service you'll find anywhere in the city.
