Cute little corner shop with REALLY good, fresh pretzel options. I got the breakfast sliders, and they did NOT disappoint. Great place to meet a friend.

Nice folks & a cute shop in a neighborhood. The pretzels aren’t that great if they aren’t hot.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly but inside there is no space. It’s really a place to grab and go. Outside has tables.

Pretty solid pretzel but probably doesn't worth the travel.

I was incredibly disappointed with my recent visit to this breakfast shop. My family and I have been to this pretzel shop multiple times, but this experience was unacceptable. Out of the four sandwiches I ordered, two had hair in them, and when I called to address the issue, the manager claimed no one working there has long hair but said he would investigate. I don’t know how I’m supposed to take that comment, especially when living in Washington, DC, I’m clearly not crying over $16—it’s about principle and basic food safety.

Paid for a pretzel, but got served discrimination

Not only are the facilities here disgusting with every single table dirty and the floor covered in food, but staff behavior is also equally as gross at the Pretzel Bakery. My partner is a disabled female military veteran and was accused by staff of having a ‘fake’ service dog and asked to leave. My partner rightly refused to leave and informed the staff that the dog was properly identified with a service animal vest, professionally trained, and that she and her service animal were protected under the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA). My partner’s dog is a trained PTSD service animal and was always under the full control of my partner. Her dog sat quietly at her feet the entire time, even when the staff rushed up aggressively to accost my partner.

On its website, Pretzel Bakery states “At The Pretzel Bakery, happy food memories fuel everything we do.” After leaving the Pretzel Bakery we only have unhappy memories of blatant discrimination. The staff needs to do better. Not all disabilities are physical or can be seen. My partner was judged unfairly and deserves better.

Management needs to take steps to educate their staff about the rights of individuals with disabilities. Refusing public access to a person with a disability is in violation of the ADA and can be the basis for legal action. Until the staff can be properly trained to understand the ADA and maintain health codes in the eating areas, I cannot recommend this bakery to others.

5 stars cause I’d like to revist and to have the pretzel here again but with a bit of hesitation. I tried various menu here and enjoyed the chewiness and flavors overall. However, I felt that pretzel here gets less enjoyable longer it was out there after made fresh. All foods are like that in degrading their quality once made and/or cooked, but I felt like pretzel may be a kind that gets heavier impact by time passing?

My fav was pretzel bomb. Its nutella inside and light cinnamon cover outside was the perfect sweet combination that I loved. My least favorite was everything pretzel with whole grain mustard. To me it was barely “everything” there so taste was rather bland.

The chewy texture of the pretzel was delicious, so I want to come back to eat it again, but the reason I hesitate is because after trying a variety of things, I felt like the pretzel bread itself is a food that loses its flavor as time passes after it is made. no see. That's true of all foods, but...

Original pretzel doesn't have much flavor. Chill atmosphere.

Stopped in for a pretzel before exploring DC. Fair price, decent pretzel. The sweet pretzel has a nice glaze. Really liked the caramel-mustard with plain pretzel. Wouldn’t go out of my way for another but a nice average bite. The sandwich is probably better.

For a place that has "pretzel" in its name, you would think they would deliver a more memorable pretzel. We bought 3 for $8(2 Original Salted and 1 Sweet Cinnamon), a can of pop, and an Iced Coffee. Whether you are dining in or not, they put it all in a bag. Together. So, the glaze on the sweet pretzel got all over and stuck to the wax paper they wrapped it in. It was an absolute mess trying to eat it. The Original ones were so bland and quite the disappointment...they need more salt on top! They're not worth the calories honestly. It was $15 spent that I would not spend again.
