The Prime Rib is DC's best steak house with excellent service and tremendous ambiance. My filet and Ceaser salad were great. Added to the experience is a wonderful piano player, softly playing great melodies.
I went with a few friends and we all had the filet mignot with differing sides and a drink or two. We all really enjoyed the steak, I found the fries to be basically McDonald's fries, and the price is a little higher than I'd choose. For three people we paid $300 with tip, so $100 each, honestly the steak was great, but I don't think I'd choose to pay that much or suggest it for anyone for anything but a special event.
Excellent food; wonderful atmosphere - not cheap but you get what you pay for. Special mention to the ambience created by a magnificent cocktail pianist; I'm a professional musician and the art of cocktail piano playing is rarely heard these days. A great experience in a truly classic restaurant.
