Great, casual place to meet for a drink. Long bar and high tops inside. Patio is nice, too. We moved outside because there was trivia night inside which got too loud and distracting for conversation. I didn’t eat anything, and the service was OK. We had to add wood to the fire pit to keep warm and our drink order was forgotten. I’d go back though!

The menu here is mislabeled for allergies. There are multiple items listed as gluten free that have gluten and I’ve brought it up a few times and have been told it’s ’a menu typo’. I ordered a salad — one of the few options I can actually eat — and asked for it to be gluten free and it still came with fried shallots! I don’t get it. It’s not that hard to get it right, and it’s dangerous to be so wrong!Dietary restrictions: There are multiple items listed as gluten free that have gluten and I’ve brought it up a few times and have been told it’s ’a menu typo’. Such a nice place! The food was excellent and the drinks were great. You can tell it’s a neighborhood bar because the bartenders really knew the patrons and seemed to have a nice relationship with them. Danny the bartender is great! You can tell the workers here care about the quality of food and service they provide. Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped with a couple friends for dinner, we sat at the bar. The food was great, atmosphere was very relaxed, but service left something to be desired, bartender might’ve been having an off night though, definitely going to give it a second try.

I used to be a regular customer. During a recent snowstorm, I ordered dinner on-line. Trudge through the snow to pick it up, only to find out that they were closed. But they took my money.Went back to complain. They said it was the fault of a third-party vendor that runs the website and they would reverse the charge right away. Didn't even offer an apology, much less a free drink or dessert to make up for the major inconvenience they had caused.A week later, they still have not refunded the money. They have lost me as a customer, and I hope my experience will dissuade some others from patronizing them.

Decent dig just off North Capitol. It’s nice sometimes to not have to deal with downtown traffic and parking issues. A bit on the pricier side for a neighborhood joint, but would still go again.

Between the great team running the place, solid food and cocktails, it's been one of my favorite go-to places for years.

This is a review of their basement bar, Side Door. My husband and I made reservations this week to check out their Krampus/holiday themed basement bar. As it is advertised, it looks like a 70s basement, outfitted with old school decor, including a small TV and rows of VHS tapes and vinyl records. We got there for our 7:15pm reservation (Side Door opens at 7pm) and there were already 7 or 8 people seated and at the bar. I believe the bar is first-come, first-served. I do recommend making a reservation if you can -- there was a group of 4 that snagged a table because the bartender said the earlier reservation was a no-show. The drinks we got were pretty good -- I got the "Annie, are you ok?" We shared the Krampus on Campus (a mulled wine), and my husband got the Wicked Wolf. Although the drinks were good, the bartender was overwhelmed (I think the second staff member was late to arrive), and so we waited about 15 or so minutes before someone approached us for drink orders, and it was another 15 or so before they came out. Folks were also ordering from the main Pub & the People menu, which is a nice option if you'd rather sit downstairs in a more cozy atmosphere. Overall, I'd come back!

Excellent neighborhood bar with friendly staff who recognize regulars. They play with the menu (adding and taking away things) which is great but also a bummer when they take your favorite thing off the menu. But we keep coming back. Great selection of mixed drinks and rotating draft beers. They even have a cool speak easy down below! Definitely recommend.

Great neighborhood bar with friendly and quick service! I haven’t had much of the food but the fried chicken sandwich and fries is one of the best bar food dishes I’ve ever had! The way they cook the chicken and fries (pan fried rather than deep fried) gives them such a fresh taste. Great beer selection too!Wheelchair accessibility: Appears accessible and there are low tables
