Memorable experience.. amazing location right in the heart of Georgetown. The suite was very spacious and beautiful. In room service was amazing.
Rooms outfitted like an average Marriot. Not the Ritz quality we are used to.
We just returned from a night away at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, and our stay was absolutely perfect. The property is beautiful, and our room was spotless and ready early, huge thanks to Digbyana for making that happen so we could freshen up before lunch.
Edward served up some fantastic mocktails before our dinner reservation, and Luis was incredibly helpful at checkout, accommodating us by storing our leftovers and luggage so we could explore a bit more before heading home.
Highly recommend! The location is ideal, and the service was top-notch from start to finish.
Lovely stay, amazing location with tons of amazing food options in walking distance. Was there during the heatwave and staff brought me not only a fan but also dehumidifier. Unfortunately, you can see that humidity did permeate to the bathroom where you can see some mold spores on the ceiling below. (room 222)
Room was well appointed but was garden level with windows that looked on out street / parking so alas shades stayed shut mostly.
Would absolutely return.
This review is long overdue, but I was reminded today how the Georgetown Ritz, hands down is my favorite of the chain. I have stayed here several times and this weekend I sent two of my employees here for an overnight R&R and within a few hours of arriving there, both were raving about the impeccable service they received. The staff here just has a very welcoming vibe from the moment you step through the doors. You can tell a strong emphasis has been placed on customer satisfaction. As someone who is held to that regard in their own profession, I appreciate it even more when I experience it. The spa is awesome and easily accomodates, the rooms are always on par with the brand, and the location cannot be beat. We love doing staycations here and will be a forever favorite for us. Thanks kindly to everyone who makes this location everything a Ritz should be.
Great location, small but beautiful property.
This place is a total dump…old snd smelly. Horrible
Isaac is the best in the Living Room! We love the service and the quality drinks by Debbie (I think) are always excellent! The staff as a whole are thoughtful and courteous - for example, after the first morning when I asked for a dairy alternative at the complimentary guest coffee bar, there was a small pitcher of almond milk every morning of our stay after that.
Comparable to the rosewood and four seasons, but has a unique tunnel connection similar to the jails in Ireland actually! Had a wonderful time with a very sweet ex of mine a while back here. Amazing what you overhear in the bars of all three of those hotels! Highly reccomend for anyone looking for stock tips or geopolitical moves. 😂
The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown exceeded every expectation and then some. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was impeccable—warm, welcoming, and attentive in every way. The experience was elevated even further with delightful surprises like complimentary champagne upon arrival and an evening happy hour featuring an incredible bananas foster and specialty cocktail station that felt straight out of a dream.
The hotel itself is stunning. The room was luxurious, beautifully designed, and unbelievably relaxing—a true sanctuary in the heart of the city. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the serene atmosphere, spoke to the Ritz’s signature elegance and commitment to excellence. All just a short walk from it all!
The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown is the embodiment of luxury and hospitality done right. I can’t wait to return!

I recently had the pleasure of working with The Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown to plan a proposal for my cousin and his girlfriend, and it was an unforgettable experience! Head concierge Luis was absolutely outstanding—he walked us through the entire property, helping us choose the perfect spot for the proposal and ensuring every detail was taken care of. It was clear that the staff communicated seamlessly with one another, which made everything run smoothly from start to finish.
My cousin, his girlfriend, and our family and friends were all blown away by the level of service at both the hotel and their restaurant, Degrees Bistro. The Ritz-Carlton team went above and beyond, and the care and attention to detail were evident at every turn.
Thank you to Luis and the wonderful Ritz-Carlton team for helping my cousin and his now fiancée begin their journey in the most magical way possible.
My husband and I typically stay at a high-end Marriott hotel every year to celebrate our anniversary. Our favorite hotel in DC (the W Hotel) unfortunately stopped being part of the Marriott family a few years ago. They had set the standard for anniversary celebrations for us (they always provided champagne, upgraded us to their best available suite, including their Presidential Suite once, etc).
This year for our special day we decided to try out the Ritz in Georgetown (in hopes of finding our new favorite DC hotel). While the team at this property was able to upgrade us to a one-bedroom suite (I used one of my suite night awards for this), the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
First off, the hallway where our room was located (West Wing, 2nd floor) smelled like an old closet - the space is in need of some TLC and deep cleaning. The design of the room itself was reminiscent of a lower category Marriott brand (Residence Inn or Courtyard) versus what you'd expect of a brand like the Ritz Carlton. While the bathroom was spacious, the towels were old and not soft at all, the overhead lighting by the sinks hideous (impossible to do your makeup here), the toilet tiny and the toilet paper...oh gosh. You'd think a high-end brand charging ~$800 per night/90k points would provide soft toilet paper and not the kind of sand paper you find at a movie theater or motel.
I'll say that the team did provide some nice chocolates to acknowledge our special day. However, my standards are way higher than this, especially after staying at other amazing properties around the world where the attention to detail has been second to none. Macaroons won't cut it when everything else is so mediocre.
I guess people who stay here on repeat are doing so for the location. I also have a feeling this brand is likely geared towards older men who may have a different definition of luxury at this point. I kept thinking of how awful the lighting in the bathroom was for any woman trying to do their makeup - whomever designed and whomever is maintaing this place isn't catering to a younger, more diverse clientele.
Cozy stay with great accommodations for our pup!

Room was lovely. Location was great. Service was lacking. One front desk person has a less than pleasant attitude when trying to sort out a key/access issue. My main issue was at the spa. I paid $600 on treatments. I was leaving to have brunch upstairs and asked if I could come back and use the amenities for a little. The desk woman basically said no. Imagine paying that much and being treated like that. I’m used to in and out privileges.

The driving in this area is pretty awful, but the hotel was wonderful and the staff was great. It was a very nice experience.
The disappointing thing was that they do not offer a club level at this Ritz Carlton
Rooms: The room was like an apartment, it was HUGE!
Immaculately clean and comfortable
Walkability: The waterfront area is right around the corner and very walkable with plenty of restaurants and bars.
