I spent a lot of time with my sister in her suite here. Currently, there'is construction down the street, and you can hear it at the entrance. I don't know how long it will last. I was pleased that in my sister's suite, uphill from the construction, we could not hear it--and we opened the windows for fresh air. I was disappointed that the living room bathrooms in the suite are not ventilated. This made me uncomfortable enough to use the lobby bathrooms instead. Seems like a serious skimp for this property. Also, when we ordered salads, it seemed like it took inordinately long to get them to her suite. However, when they arrived they were delish and service was great.

Great spot to stay in Georgetown - centrally located and in walking distance to everything local. Openned 20 years ago - and probably in need of a refresh - but still nice. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The lobby of the Ritz is so special at Christmas!Cozy fireplace, cozy lighting, refreshing cocktails, warm drinks, and plenty of comfy places to sit and relax at the end of the day.The service was excellent, as was the quality of drinks.Added bonus was the s'mores during happy hour, which was fun and festive.

A love, quiet Ritz-Carlton with excellent staff all around. The lobby is an excellent place to relax, and my room was very clean upon arrival.

Had a wonderful time, atmosphere is fantastic and the service is excellent. We met the very personable sous chef Victoria Montenegro who explained the new menu items to us. We tried different plates and they were delicious. Great presentation and flavor. My friends and I were very impressed and recommend this to our friends.

The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown in Washington DC is a great and convenient location for those wishing to enjoy the restaurants and shops of Georgetown. The lobby is warm and cozy with the furnishings and fireplace. The lobby serves as a cocktail area. The hotel layout is unique in that guests must go down one floor to the lower lobby level either by staircase or elevator to access their guest room. Guest's rooms are either of 2 wings -- East or West. Once you traverse the appropriate hallway you then take and elevator to the appropriate guest's floor. You will find the "business center" Tech Pod rooms on this lower level in the West wing direction. We were surprised to discover our guest room was partial below grade in the West wing first floor. The room was typical of Ritz-Carlton design with a large bathroom and sleeping area. Disappointing though was the room appeared tired. The electric/USB ports next to the bed did not work as did the outlets built into the face of the desk.As the picture shows the floor bath mat on the tub was highly stained. (We reported that immediately to the front desk but it was never corrected.) We were surprised that this mat would have even been placed in a room.Another surprise was that WiFi was an additional charge of $9.95 per day unless you are a Marriott Bonvoy member. Truly, at the cost of this property for guest's rooms WiFi should be included. It appears that this hotel property caters a great deal to corporate and association meeting visitors.

Lovely hotel in Georgetown. We liked the brick look that carried into the lobby, and many restaurants are within walkable distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.Access to the rooms in either wing involves going down one floor from the lobby, walking down a corridor, and then going back up by elevator. I liked the walk, but it does take longer than usual to get to your floor.

This hotel is a true masterpiece of hospitality. The room's elegant design and well-appointed furnishings offered a luxurious and comfortable retreat, while the staff's genuine care and professionalism made my stay truly memorable. The hotel's dedication to sustainability and eco-friendly practices was evident through their initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint. The dining experience was a culinary journey, with a menu that featured a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The hotel's central location was a major advantage, allowing me to explore the city's attractions with ease. Without a doubt, this hotel is a haven of excellence and responsible luxury.

This has become one of our favorite hotels in the world. It is a unique building, the staff and service are excellent, and the location is very accessible to Georgetown and the waterfront. We do not stay anywhere else in DC now.Special call out to George at valet stand. He’s excellent and a class act.

To celebrate our anniversary we were not able to travel this year, so we had a staycation at the Ritz Carlton in Georgetown. The hotel is hiding in plain site. The brick theme from outside continues inside. The accomodations were luxurious from the furniture to the bed to the huge bathroom. The casual restaurant had great food with very friendly staff. The location in Georgetown was my a short walk from dining, shopping and entertainment. Luxury costs but we felt it was worth it considering we had not flown anywhere this year.
