Tasty burger, nice chill bar with great ambiance. They've changed things up in the last month, and things are still in transition as of May 2024 (live music is out, couches are in) but I think the new version will be the best local pub in Brookland.

I went there for taco's and I was not disappointed. ? well the portions were a bit snacky ??♂️ I'd have to buy 2 orders to make one meal. AT THE TACO PLACE idk about the other spots. that being said I will be going back. I'll just be making 3 orders instead of 1 I guess. ??♂️??

This is a great neighborhood bar, the burgers are top tier *chef's kiss*. They serve their drinks in glasses they probably got at your grandma's yard sale, reminds me of visiting my family in NC. Great food, great service.

Went to Runaway to busk lights for a friends set. House audio guy has a bad attitude and said he would handle lights, proceeds to leave them the same color and intensity for all 3 band sets. Sounded good tho. Food is on point, burger didn’t leave the hand. -1 Atmosphere due to
If you are a bar, and want to close early for last call that's one thing, but if you advertise yourself as a coffee and breakfast spot stay open your regular hours! People plan work stuff around lunch and breakfast spots which makes it highly disrespectful to your clientele when they have to pivot. Especially if it involves a client. The response from the owner, saying that staff was feeling sick is highly misleading because I called and was told that no one came in so they decided to close.

Some of the best burgers I've eaten and Larry is a fantastic waiter and barman. But $120 for 2 hamburgers and 2 glasses of wine at a rock & roll dive bar felt exorbitant.

The place is comfy and has a great atmosphere. Nice music and even nicer decor. I recommend for a night out with friends, but I can't recommend the food. I asked for a pink to rare meat and got a completely overcooked burger, even the sauce was kinda burned and made everything taste bitter. The onions slices were to thick as well, so there was an overwhelming punch of onion. The ingredients were fresh tho, and the presentation beautiful, but I expect a little more from a $20 burger. Maybe it was just an honest mistake. All that said, I will give it another chance anytime soon.
