Its the worst food we have had in DC so far..the food did not have flavor..the service was poor..coffee was served and its was messed up around the cup and on the saucer..the water glasses served had water dripping all over..the chairs had spot marks and we asked them to change chairs..for the price of food like 20-30$ per item..we dont expect a ihop or dunkin donuts service...the food itself did not have any taste and was not made with love...it was hard to eat
Great atmosphere with elegant decor. Went for Valentine's Day, so our experience may just be due to them being busy. We were seated late, and the waiter was rushing. Our reservation was for 10:45 PM, so I assume they just wanted to close. Other than that we had the Tapas menu, which offered some really good options. We enjoyed the garlic shrimp, lamb meatballs, potatoes, and snapper the most. The star of the night, hands down, was the Churro dessert. To our surprise this was not your traditional churro. A churro in the shape of a hollow cupcake filled with ice cream and escorted by a side of warm chocolate for you to drizzle. CHEF'S KISS! Overall, a good experience that could have been great if the service was better, but I will attribute that to it being a very busy night.
We don't even get to our table. Waited 45 min at the bar past our reservation time. When we were called I declined the table. We sat at the bar for about an hour and during that time we noticed only 1-2 tables of food came out. 90% of tables had no food the entire hour we were there. For $75 per person that is unacceptable.
Our server came by and checked on the table once every hour, it took 30 minutes to get a lemonade. Our food came out cold and the server had an attitude which frankly ruined our valentines day dinner.
We were sat 40 mins after our reservation, and were at our table for 2 hours and only received half of what we ordered. The staff was friendly and apologetic but the restaurant seemed overbooked and under prepared for the Valentine's Day rush, which to me shouldn't have been a surprise. The food that we did get was good, but for the $75 price we did not nearly get enough food to make it worth our time and money. We had other plans for the night so after 2 hours, we had to cut the dinner early.
All hat, no cattle. And a very poor service experience. The service started fine, if inattentive. The pace of the service made it seem like the kitchen was overwhelmed, even though we dined early--close to 35 minutes between courses at one point. We took our time, but this just wasn't even close to the experience we expected. My wife ordered a cocktail that she didn't love, but had to sit with it for over 20 minutes before we had a chance to talk to the waiter about it. And the substitution came later, and its presentation (and taste) seemed rushed and mediocre. We still added a substantial extra tip on top of the mandatory gratuity and tried to be nice about everything. But we were not well taken care of and even if we had been, the food and drink were not on par with comparably priced experiences nearby. We won't return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Saga. The service was impecable, with every attention to detail meticulously thought of before even sitting down. Our food was well prepared and thoughtfully presented. The drinks were expertly prepared and tasted delicious!
The server (Michael) made a mistake with our orders, and the manager comped us half the bill. It was a waste of my time and the restaurant owner's money. Better staff training at the Saga is needed.
I had breakfast here and ordered the avocado toast, which turned out to be a great choice. It was really delicious and I enjoyed it a lot.

Expected much more from a Ritz Carlton flagship restaurant. Has a cafeteria vibe. Not high end. Food was OK - Ritz prices but not Ritz quality.

Bottom line up front, the quality and presentation of the food was very good, it just fell short of what we were hoping for, and the kitchen was very slow on a quiet evening. Nothing to get me excited to go back. We went to dinner and the subsequent breakfast because we were staying in the attached hotel. DINNER For dinner we chose the "unlimited tapas", because it was a good price, and we love tapas. On the good side, the Camarones, the Bocata and the Dates & Bacon were excellent as were the Patatas Bravas, The Pan con Tomate was really tasty, but we each only got one tiny piece, would have been much better if I had a plate of them, but we were warned that the portions would be small. The Croquetas were not what I was expecting. The outer shell was very thin with none of the potato that you might find in other croquets. The filling was more of a gravy, with less of the meat in comparison to others. The flavors were good, but the textures were very different, and not enough meat in my opinion. The Tortilla de Patata was a disappointment. It is a wonderful presentation in a miniature cast iron skillet (about the diameter of a baseball), but I think the small size is its undoing. Unfortunately, it meant that the only way it could be cooked was well done (we prefer ours medium, a little runny) and so was very dry. We even asked for a second order to be medium, and it came out the same. On the negative side, the Cauliflower Escabeche was not good and the Escalivada did not seem to have much eggplant at all, so it was a little flat. The Chistorras were a 50/50 split, I liked them, but my wife did not. With the exception of the Bocata and the Corquetas, all of the portions were very small, but we were warned in advance. BREAKFAST The French Toast is awesome! The Steak and eggs was very good, but not amazing, I have had better for far less. Had to send it back because it was way over done the first time. Not enough to make me go back again for the price.
Went on a suggestion. It is not the type of food that I typically like. Very expensive for the portions.
Nice experience.

Great food and exceptional service. The drinks were also excellent. It's a great place for friends gatherings and families alike.
A bit pricy for the portion that they serve. It's more like American Spanish fusion. Did not get the Paella correctly done. Dessert was good though. Would not recommend to my friends or family. We just tried to try a different restaurant.
