A lively place with delicious oysters-on-the-half-shell and tuna tartare. Also loved the lightly buttered lobster roll.
Three of us had an early dinner before the ballgame. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our waitress was attentive and provided good recommendations. Food and drink were served promptly. Everything from the oysters to the main courses and the cold beer tasted terrific. The restaurant is in a great location with a pretty view of the river, even from the indoor tables. I'd go back next time I'm in the area.
Everything thing we ordered was outstanding, raw oysters, fried crab claws, tuna & rockfish tartare, crab dip with pimento cheese (could have been mixed with another cheese) was good! The best thing was the grilled octopus, Brussels sprouts outstanding, and the watermelon with feta. My entree was the soft shell crab but I added the coconut curry sauce to mine!!!! Yummy
Excellent experience, views over the riverfront were great date night vibes and service was stellar
We were new to raw oysters, so it was an experience! Our server (Sheryl) offered recommendations and gave detailed “how to” instruction for eating. :-)
BEST TIME EVER!!! Certainly, we had the Hostess at the door, THE BEST seat in the house and THE BEST waiter in the house. It was a beautiful summer day and the ambiance was perfect.
Service was very poor. Salad was doused in dressing - practically inedible. Food was cold when it arrived to the table. Will unlikely book a reservation here again.
Generally high quality seafood, but overpriced. $42 for a lobster roll is excessive. Full stop. Fried clams for $22, solid quality, but quite small portion. Crab claws were small and rather mealy in texture - $6 each. This kind of pricing is not going to nether average person to eat out more!
Great! Went there for a dinner while my family was in town, had a good ambiance in the reserved section outside.
We arrived when they opened at 10:00 on July 4, and said we'd like to get to the game by opening pitch. Our server took our drinks order at 10:10, and brought the drinks at 10:25. We ordered food, appetizers only, at 10:10. The food came at 10:35. The server was pleasant and efficient, but the bar and kitchen were not ready to serve the clientele they opened early for. The food was great. Get the Waterman's Platter.

I had a great time at the place, it was my birthday today and they were so nice and welcoming
My son and I went for brunch this past weekend. Our serve CC was very nice. Food was good. The only thing that was a little dissappointing was the Lobster roll sandwich was $42.00 for a very small amount of knuckle meat.
Wonderful experience on a quiet Sunday night. Sunset was beautiful over the river. Food was delicious especially the crab roll!! Best I've ever had! Totally worth it!!
The special, pea risotto with grilled shrimp was awful. The shrimp were good but the "risotto" was just mushy peas. Not good at all. My husband had the swordfish picata and it was overcooked, very little sauce and the snap peas way undercooked. The only highlight were the oysters. I normally don't complain, but I should have. I let the server know that the risotto was not good. She said she would let the chef know. Don't know if that happened. Might be a while before we returned and we are there fir every Nats home game.
Enjoyed a wonderful anniversary lunch overlooking the Potomac. Our server was excellent, and the food (as always) was delicious. I highly recommend the Salt Line to any couple looking for a wonderful dining experience.
