The food and ambiance were amazing! Loved sitting on the patio by the water. Highly recommend this restaurant.
For how much I paid the food was not amazing very mid seafood restaurant chowder was watery seafood platter had no flavor
Our server Chris was great. He gave excellent recommendations. The hostess seated us at a wonderful table outside looking out to the water.
We have eaten here several times, and unfortunately, this dinner with visiting family just didn't meet expectations. It was fine, but riddled with errors in service and out of the kitchen. And the taste of the food and limited selection on the menu didn't compensate for the shortcomings.
Friday early date night with my husband. We enjoyed fresh oysters from MD, VA and RI with a lovely pairing of Chenin Blanc wine from South Africa. Tried the pan fried trout with asparagus and it was lovely. Always a great time with great food.
Good seafood and a really nice bourbon menu. Value was good but not outstanding - Got 3 meals, 3 chowders, 2 beers and some bread for about $225 post tip. So about $75pp out the door. Waterman's catch was delicious, highly recommend
Always a great option whether it's for a business meal or a casual get-togher with friends.
The food was ok but the staff was good. The location is the best part, so I guess food doesn't need to be superb lol.
We were running a few minutes late because there was a baseball game and we had trouble finding parking. I was bringing friends from out of town. I called to see if we could push the time of our reservation back and the hostess was just so lovely about it and gave us a good feeling right off the bat. We arrived and were welcomed by 3 smiling young hosts at the door. The waitress was equally nice- I think her name was Melissa- and spent time discussing the beers we had questions about and finally suggested that she “surprise” me - her choice was amazing. The food was delicious. A great experience from start to finish. Salt line in DC is my go- to.
We had an amazing experience with our server. My friend was late and he helped me navigate the menu. The snapper is a must but I wish they labeled the oysters because we didn't know what we was tasting. Great experience overall highly recommended! #blackdinners

Here in Dc for a few days- for sights and great food! Sorry, this was a big miss! We are foodies and expect good food. The clam chowder had uniform bits of fish-right out of can, the pasta simply was bland and boring. My chop salad was not bad. This has a college bar vibe with a moderately high end $$$. There are excellent restaurants in DC- this is not one of them.
Great water view and atmosphere. Just had beer and oysters and they were good. However we did have one that was shredded up and pretty much 1/3 the size of the others. I asked about switching it out but they weren't willing to do it. They initially forgot about the order so I had to remind them about it. Otherwise service was pretty good.

This spot never misses. The vibe is amazing on a nice day. The drinks always hit. The food is fresh and tasty. Just as good post-pandemic as they were pre. A neighborhood staple.

Went here for brunch. There was a nice crowd for the outside tables, but it wasn't as busy inside which was great since it was a warm day. I ordered the lobster roll with butter and a side salad. Both were deliciously perfect in every way so I ordered another lobster roll and the fries to take home to my husband. Will definitely be going back! My waitress was also great!
Lobster Roll with greens!
