Dinner tonight was fabulous. This was my second meal at the restaurant. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I had the “Trout” entree. It was carefully cooked and the fish fell onto my fork to make a ‘perfect bite’ with vegetables.

What a place. I keep coming back and bringing whoever will go with me.
Delightful waterfront with outdoor seating and bar and plenty of it. Inside has plenty of seating and character as well.
Everyone who works there loves it and that makes them very good at their jobs!
If you like seafood and nautical atmospherics, here you go.
Navy Yard storefronts and Nationals stadium are walking distance!

The Herb Crusted Lamb as incredible and I would order again!
The milkshake was fairly disappointing, although the little cookie on top was better than expected.

Oysters - Wavelength and Moonstone were great
Stuffies were a nice appetizer. Clams, breadcrumbs, and lemon.
Pan seared scallops were excellent as was the Portuguese Stew (mussels, clams, fish, sausage). My only complaint on the stew was the sausage was a bit dry and could have been added at the end of cooking. The fat cooked into the stew and left the sausage portion dry.

The food and drinks were below average at best. We asked if they had any bread, and the waitress said it would be a small charge, which is fine. When they brought it out, the bread was literally sourdough toast, with no butter or oil to accompany it. The waitress sold us on the Lobster bisque, which was beyond salty, loaded with corn starch, and ice cold. Fortunately, my wife got the chowder, which was much better. Their only saving grace were the oysters. These were actually very fresh and delicious. The crispy branzino, however, was yet another joke; tiny portions with awkwardly paired flavors. I would never step foot in this place again and would rather walk 2 miles in the snow to the Warf where the restaurants meet dining expectations.
The portions are really small. You have to order an appetizer to leave satisfied. The service was mediocre even though the restaurant wasn't busy.
A great happy hour spot year round!

We love The Salt Line and have visited all 3 of their DC metro locations... We had a show to attend in DC and caught an early dinner at the Salt Line Navy Yard location where we tend to start and/or finish baseball games in the summer. The Leviathan is worthy of its name in both size & quality...had the Lobster bisque, a cup of chowder, the Crab roll and the Octopus.... All absolutely great and at a good value. Can't say enough about TSL... a tight dining experience in a great location with stellar food and atmosphere... All orchestrated by an exceptional & friendly team. If you haven't yet, you should.
Everything was good! Good not great. Good service - able to get in without a reservation. There was an event going on. Wish they had crab legs! They only had claws. Glad I checked it out but probably wouldn’t go back. I think I can sum it up with the lobster roll - really tasty, but small - it was like meal of French fries with a side of lobster roll…a lot of good with a little great.

Honestly, the food wasn't that good. I was a bit disappointed, but the service was good! I probably won't go back.
We had a lovely dinner at Salt Line. Maria provided excellent service and let us take our time. The oysters were very good, as was the pimento crab dip. My husband got the smash burger, which was tasty. I got the grilled corvina. The flavors were great but the green beans were slightly overcooked. I would definitely come back. On a nice night, it would be ideal to sit by the water!

Great service, great food, and great drinks. We have a small dog and the covered and heated patio was perfect for a late night dinner.
Hanging out with old college friends great time service was great food was excellent thank you
This was my first time dining here - my friends ordered oysters and they were immensely impressed by the size and flavors. Based on your reactions alone, I would recommend them. I got the smash burger and it was wonderful.
