I drove from Charlotte to DC with 2 small kids and a physically disabled passenger, only to arrive at the hotel with no one to greet us and either valet our car or show us where to park it.After 10 mins of waiting in the middle of the street, I decided to just call the front desk to have them send someone out. I believe I called at least 5 times, but no one would answer. I then had to contact central reservations for them to try to contact the hotel for me.Finally, the valet came out and shook his head and said he didn’t have a place to park my car. Meanwhile, my infant is bawling bc she’s starving and tired. I mentioned that we had a disabled passenger with us as well. He then told me to take a drive around the block to see if I could find some public parking somewhere. I’m not sure how hauling luggage with 2 kids in the middle of the street is something expected of a guest.I drove back around to the hotel and the valet said he would park my car around back. Perfect. He went inside to get my valet ticket, but I needed a bellman to come help with my luggage. No one came out, so I sent someone in to ask for help. The same valet came out and said “I’m sorry. I’m the bellman too”.A horrible start to the check in process, but it got worse. The suite I booked looks NOTHING like the pictures. It feels like I’m at an airport hotel in transit somewhere. Not to mention the AC unit in the room sounds like a generator. I called guest services to send someone up to take a look at it. I was pleasantly surprised when someone knocked on my door literally 3 mins later. When I opened the door, the maintenance man’s mouth was full of food and he was holding a cup of water that was leaking. He came straight in, talking to me with his mouth full. I mentioned that his cup was leaking. His response was “it’s just water”. When he came into the bedroom where the unit is, I asked if the horrible sound was normal. He simply said “yes, it’s normal. It’s cool in here. If you want the noise to stop, turn off the unit”. When he left, we had to clean up the droplets of water that he left all over the floor.By the time we actually got into our room, it was way past the kids’ dinner time. I called room service to place an order for them. I called and called and called and no answer. Finally, I had to go down to the front desk and tell them I was trying to place an order for room service. They said I could place the order with the restaurant downstairs and that they would bring it up for me. Fast forward 1 hour and the food had still not arrived, so I have to go downstairs with my crying baby to tell them. I was told by the front desk that they are understaffed at the moment, but that is not an excuse for making guests feel like this is a self-service hostile.Horrible experience. You can stay at a Marriott courtyard and get better service than this. This definitely ruined our trip.

I never review anything, but it is currently 2:30 am and I am still awake because the bed is so incredibly uncomfortable. The pillows are paper thin, and the mattress feels like you are sleeping on your grandma's pullout couch. The walls are also incredibly thin as well. I could hear the person next doors entire conversation, to the point that I thought they must be in the hallway, but when I opened the door to ask them to please step into their room, I realized they were in their actual room. It's truly unfortunate because the staff have been nothing but kind. However, I will be of no use in three hours when I'm meant to get up for the day. I travel often, and this is by far the most uncomfortable night I've ever had.The only reason this review is 2 stars is because the exemplary service of the front desk and wait staff at the restaurant counterbalanced the negative stars I want to give the cheap mattress and bedding.

Horrible Customer service, I make a mistake at booking the date. Called in for change and they said they was able to change the date for me, but receive no email of confirmation except the third party email said they were not be able to provide any refund or date change.

I checked into the hotel, but the room was not clean, the toilet was dirty and un-flushed, a used soap, by the previous occupant, was still lying on the sink. The phone was in the room, but there was no wire connected to it.I complained to the front desk, but all through my stay (5 days) they didn't bother to at least connect the phone with the wire. Not even apologetic about the dirty condition of the room when I checked in.Moreover, the housekeeping staff doesn't bother to even notice whether essential toiletries need replenishment, during daily routine service. Clearly, I didn't have the means to call housekeeping (as the phone was merely a toy, without wires) and I had to walk down to the front desk to ask for supplies.I will definitely not stay at this hotel in any future.

I would say first and last time and do not recommend. They make it look like an upscale hotel but definitely that is not what you get. Staff not very friendly or welcoming.Pros:- good location- Downstairs area aesthetically pleasing bedroom was ok, nothing else.- L'Occitane products in the bathroomsCons- front desk attendant basically just handed us the keys and grabbed my info and cards, didn't explain ANYTHING about the hotel to us, NOTHING ABOUT THE VALLET, which was a surprise after, 60$ freaking dollars - I know it’s DC but this is ridiculously pricey and they did not let us know about it. When my card was charged indidntbknow exactly what that was so I called, was informed it was the parking, I explained I wasn’t informed of that when checking in, they said manager was going to get in touch and nothing so far.- HVAC SUPER LOUND AND ANNOYING- Bathroom sink faucet was broken (didn’t complain about bc we were staying just one nightRooms: Sink was broken, very loud hvac

The St Gregory has very spacious and beautiful accommodations. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and it’s in a great spot. Will absolutely stay again!Rooms: I had a corner room with wrap around windows in 2 walls. It offers a nice size living area and separate bedroom area. The decor is grey neutral with gold accents. Beds are comfortable. Room spruced up and restocked daily.Food & drinks: The French restaurant in the lobby is delicious and rooms come with complimentary comps. Try the ratatouille!

Great hotel, a 20 minutes footwalk away from the White House. The rooms are quite huge, pretty clean and the equipment is fine. Windows were a bit leaky in our room, so it got cold pretty fast with the heater off.Service is great, you will have a small restaurant for breakfast in dinner at the ground floor of the hotel, which is pretty expensive though. The hotel is next to a pretty busy street, but the noise is endurable. There was just one big issue with our stay - the heater was placed next to the bed and it started at 6:30 in the morning, despite we turning off the automatic switch. The sound was pretty annoying and loud. This was some kind of automatic heating or it was just damaged. Unfortunately service could not repair it after the first night, despite being quite friendly.Overall we would definitely recommend a stay here though!

The inside of the hotel was cute enough... i guess. But that's about where all the allure stops. We had to pay over $100 in additional add on fees and random things once we got there. First and foremost the 35$ facilities fee which is tacked on, and I'm still not sure what that's for. Secondly, valet and front desk don't seem to communicate well about their rates or pretty much anything at all. Valet, which is the only available option for parking at this hotel, was a whopping 50$ which then turned into 60$ by the time we paid PLUS a shake down by the old valet guy, who was rude and abrasive looked me up and down and said "she looks like she has money, she'll pay me" when my partner had went to pay him. Then when my partner went to collect the car from him he pressured her into VENMOING him a 15$ tip on top of that, then told her if she sends $10 more he will let her car stay an extra hour. Wtf!!! We felt swindled by this hotel left right and center. Looking at my bank statement now for our one night stay, I was also charged two $50 misc charges I now have to call about. For breakfast, for 2 people to share, we were given one voucher in their resturant for $25. Was also charged 5$ for black drip coffee in said resturant/cafe and was given no cream or sugar despite asking for it. The elevator hotel is also pretty rickety and sometimes doesn't operate properly or is unresponsive or will ignore your requests to go to certain floors. At one point me and a stranger went for a ride through floors that none of us selected and shared a laugh about how shoddy the elevator is, to which he then reassured me we'd get there eventually. Ultimately, we selected this because it was listed for ~$145 at the time in booking. When all was said and done we ended up ~$300+ in robbery from this hotel. Stay at your own risk. All the employees at the check in desk, had a bit of an "I'm too bothered for this conservation right now" attitude or vibe. The restaurant staff was kind and welcoming though. I will avoid in the future. Definitely tainted our DC stay ALOT.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. This hotel Scammed me for $900+. I had purchased my stay at this hotel prior to arriving to the hotel. I had purchased 2 rooms. Before Arrival I was told that each room comes with 1 free parking spot. I was then told when checking in that I had to swipe my card again for a security deposit for each room. After my stay I WAS CHARGED AGAIN! After paying prior to my stay. I was charged amenities, guest amenities, which makes no sense because all they have is LEMON WATER! $900 on top of ALREADY PAYING FOR MY STAY PRIOR!!I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REACH OUT FOR WEEKS. WEEKS, no answer or solution to my problem.DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
