Sandwiches were good and scones were fresh but I think they were fig instead of currant and that was a bit weird. Sweets were unimpressive. Vibe is also a little dated and weird, but it's also not the most expensive tea service in town
The service was excellent and food tasty. Wonderful atmosphere and I could actually here my dinner guest in conversation.
What a wonderful venue! The restaurant is cozy, the service is excellent and the food is terrific!
What a cozy place to enjoy a relaxing evening! Our experience was very positive from the cocktails and throughout the dinner. What a gem of a find!
The food was very mediocre and the ambience was shabby. Service was trying hard but was not great. But the noise was good; we could have a conversation.
We had a really lovely time doing afternoon tea at Henley Park! It was pretty pricey for what we got, but you have to expect that in DC.
Always a pleasure to be there and eat there. Lovely and interesting surroundings. always good food, an great place for quiet conversation with attentive service. And explore the hotel spaces.
Afternoon tea was $75, which I wouldn't mind paying if it wasn't so mediocre and the service was so poor. The tea was pretty good, but for an expensive tea, one would think that the settings would have been nicer, would have cubed sugar, etc. We were missing plates and had to grab them from a nearby table. The scones were good, but the single tea sandwich was sad and the food overall was mediocre. The service was also not great. No one would come back to the table for very long periods of time and the man at the front door was rude. The hotel itself was just not nice, has a run-down feel. I love nice, historic places, but this place feels sketchy.
High tea was nice food good and tea selection nice. Place is very old and not updated could use a remodel for the prices.
We opted for the Valentine's meal, which exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this dining experience at the Henley Park Hotel. The food and service were excellent!

I picked this because it was rated as one of the best high teas in DC and I was so disappointed. There were only two parties (one being myself) and I got out in the side room in a corner with absolutely nothing to look at but the amazon music pod and cracking plaster (not the beautiful atrium that was advertised). The food was lack luster and bordering on inedible. It honestly tasted as if it has sat out for days and was over seasoned/salted to try to mask it. I am willing to pay a nice amount to eat good food in beautiful places but this missed the mark and still cost me a fortune. For reference I could have gotten a ribeye at one of the better steakhouses for the same cost and felt way less gypped. Honestly, I thought I was going to get food poisoning from the shrimp and clotted cream. Think twice about booking or go to the Waldorf (which was not open for tea when I went).

This tea is EXTREMELY overpriced for stale sandwiches, flavorless scones, frozen macarons, and (literally) Nothing Bundt Cake bundtinis. The water for the tea was not hot enough to properly steep the tea and we didn’t receive any milk or cream.
We could not get the attention of our server and he didn’t come to check if we had everything. He was generally inattentive any somewhat hostile when throwing down the bill. We were the only table in the restaurant until near the end of our tea when a couple came in and received a completely different tea service.
There was no ambiance to this experience - no music, they were vacuuming… overall this was a complete disappointment.

We always come here before going to see Washington Stage Guild performances at the Undercroft Theatre, a little farther down the block. The food is always delicious , the service excellent and the setting lovely. Perfect !
My friend and I caught up after a long time and this was perfect place for that. Food was excellent. We were however disappointed with tea. This was a high tea, but tea was very weak. We asked the waiter for more bags and he said they were $5 each!! There was no coffee. The service was very poor may be because one person was handling multiple duties. We did have good time chit chatting and enjoyed the food.
One of my favorite spots in the city, especially for their elegant afternoon tea available every day of the week. The selection of delectable bites—ranging from delicious finger savories to delightful scones and pastries—is always impressive and beautifully presented. It's a perfect place to unwind, whether I’m with my niece, friends or even business clients.
A big part of what makes the experience so special is the team. Mr. Binod always goes above and beyond with his creative and beautiful mocktails; they’re not only tasty but also add a fun twist to the tea service. His warm, friendly demeanor makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. Usha and Maggie are equally fantastic, always providing attentive and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. They explain the tea menu and service fully and graciously accommodate dietary restrictions.
I highly recommend the Tavern at Henley Park to anyone looking for a charming and enjoyable afternoon tea experience. It’s a place I go back to time and again for good reason!
