Great service. Totally authentic ambiance to what it was in my early 20's (20+ years ago). Went for late lunch/early dinner. Food impressed more than I thought it would. Would love to know what happens at night and if it turns into more of a bar. Add old bay to fries!
We like to come when the college students are out of town. The restaurant is in the basement but don't be deterred - the decor is charming and historic. Food never disappoints. Good for kids, ours love the milkshakes. It can be a bit loud, but that's a plus for us because our kids can be loud as well.
It was great to be back where I belong for a Reunion Weekend solo Sunday brunch. Eggs Benny were outstanding and, as for atmosphere, well, there's only one Tombs. -FJV '80
